LSU quarterback Myles Brennan was on 104.5 ESPN's "Off The Bench" Friday morning to talk about his decision to remain with the Tigers after his conversation with new coach Brian Kelly this week.

Brennan talked about Kelly's offensive philosophy, the team's reaction to his return, and confirmed that he's not ready to play in the Texas Bowl vs. Kansas State.

Because he also had one year left to showcase himself for the draft. Can you not love LSU and want to be there and at the same time do what you have to in order to secure your future?

Had Max not left, our QB room would've been Max, Nuss, Howard, and Brennan. The chances of playing, having not started a game since 2020, would've been slim. I don't blame him for leaving but also love that he came back.

Guess he wants to apply for the medical redshirt in case he needs it. Don’t blame him.

“says Brian Kelly has told him he's coaching the offense, will be in the quarterback room and tailor the foundation of the offense around the starter.“ Disturbing.

Brennan needs to be talking to Boutte and making sure he's staying. Can't lose him to Bama, or anyone else

Tbh the best move would've been to transfer to MooSt and hope their starter gets hurt...as well as transitioning into coaching by joining the Leach tree. ...but I'm still glad he didn't.

Hoping for a magical season, like Flynn's; a respectable season which is comparable to Etling's is acceptable in my eyes. He is going to live his life knowing he came through once for all the folks who love LSU football. I am a Myles Brennan fan for life if he puts in the work and continues our winning tradition

Get real, this is also comparable to Burrow except for the transfer. Experienced guy coming in to give himself a shot at showing he has what it takes after limited playing time. I do not expect to see another Burrow, he's generational and probably ascending to the Tom Brady level because of his will to be the best.

He may put up Burrowesque numbers this season. He's that talented and is due for a truly magical season.

When you say he’s “that talented,” what do you mean? Are you really comparing his skills/intangibles to the greatest QB in school history? I’m all okay with saying he could have a big year but some of you REALLY need to pump the breaks. Myles ain’t throwing 60 TD’s. If he throws 40, that’s outstanding. We’re probably competing for a natty with that.
