By the end of May, there will be very few infections in the US. We will reach herd immunity by July.

So, the mask mandate will almost certainly end sometime this summer.

This is from the best COVID modeling site: LINK

Friend,

I do not know, but I do hope it never ends. I have never enjoyed flying more than now. Masks make the cabins less noisy and less germy. Masked flights are one of the positive takeaways from covid19.

Could be an airline to airline thing, if people are into wearing masks maybe one airline becomes their chosen way to fly.

I mean they do hide Serial Killers who happen to be obsessed with their mothers identities.
Am I right?

Basically when everyone has had a chance to get the vaccine. If you haven’t gotten it then it will be your fault if you catch Covid (you’ll sign something in small print purchasing your ticket). Life goes on. I’m thinking late summer/early fall.

Took my first flight with masks this weekend and probably will not unless short flights. Couldn't imagine doing that for 5-6 hours or international flights plus airports and layovers.

Guess my kids will not be flying anytime soon either until they're old enough to wear the things.
I get it but it's obnoxious.

When I flew to Peru recently we had to wear both masks and face shields. It sucked.

With so many countries not allowing tourists and the US requiring COVID tests (even for citizens) starting 1/26 I am done with international travel for a while. There’s not anywhere out there that’s open right now that’s worth that much trouble and the possibility of being stuck there for perhaps as long as 10-14 days if you test positive for COVID.

I work for a major airline that may or may not be headquartered in ATL.

Just received an email to anticipate masks onboard for at least another 6 months as vaccine roll out continues. Trust me, it blows and we are all ready for it to end.

I so very much want for this to be true.

So are you thinking we might start noticing some real declines in cases/deaths by March?
