That one in Luling wasn't open for long, I remember them opening just about one year ago

Guess the one by Lakeside might not have much longer left?
Most Cinderella teams end up giving a 6-10 seed an undeservedly easy path to the Elite 8 or Final Four

It's fun the first game, but after that makes for bad games

I do prefer the NCAAT upsets far more than in the NBA or NFL playoffs, just due to the nature of the tournament

What an absolutely miserable break to cost the game for Colorado tonight. About as bad of puck luck as one could possibly have.

Hopefully that is the peak of what has been a miserable puck luck season overall. Doesn't help that Woll was a literal wall in net.

I know it generally evens out over the year, but the Avs lead the league in posts hit. Also so many goals called back on challenges and weird bounce goals against. It happens to all teams, but I watch a lot of hockey and sometimes the Avs are just snakebit
Best - Dream Theater (two shows - the Scenes from a Memory tour and the most recent set in Biloxi)
Pleasantly surprised - Katy Perry and Train at the Extravangza this year they were good

Mid - Metallica - I love them and they still put on a great show, but I'm too young for the late 80s early 90s shows and now the sound in the huge football stadiums they play is complete crap

Worst - Counting Crows - they butcher their songs with "improv" to where you can't even recognize them :
Avalanche fan since 96
Now with ESPN+ I’m able to watch almost every single game

Get ready for the best playoffs in all of sports

The East wild card race is insane, it would be cool to see Ottawa and Montreal in the playoffs again.

I've watched no basketball this year, so really no clue

I just find it interesting how making picks can very easily end in an all SEC final four - it doesn't take much work for it.

That said, I think Florida wins it

This Eastern Conference wild card race is amazing. Ottawa looks to have a stronghold on the first spot, but it seems every week teams go hot and cold.

The race for last wild card in the west - or the winner of the right to lose to Winnipeg - will be interesting too, even if none of the teams are very good.

re: Started watching HIMYM again

Lily ends up being much more hateable on rewatch because you know the shite she does later

Ted is already meant to be dislikeable but you also know how much dumb stuff he does and what he throws away

Nobody else really changes on rewatch

Also started watching from beginning again for background noise
Didn't watch for years after the ending - makes you forget how good it was
It holds up well and is still funny - but anything involving Ted and Robin you just know how it goes and it leaves a sour taste

Will probably stop when Robin and Barney get together that was where it really starting declining
MOS > Wolverine > IM3

The Wolverine was just boring, Iron Man 3 was bad

God the Wild are so unbelievably boring

They had the puck for over 4 minutes of OT and didn't even shoot. They were so scared to screw up they just held possession for the shootout.
They did win in the shootout and Blackwood looked horrible (that was Georgie's strength go figure), but what an embarrassment.
That's cool

But I will never waste my time seeing Counting Crows live again
They butcher their songs to the point of being unrecognizable

Ekblad news is crazy

Nate gets his 1000th point! (Twice actually first was ruled offside after the fact)
Avs struggle mightily for third time this season v shitty Chicago

That was a barn burner game tonight and I watched none of it

Really wanted to see the new guys but will have to wait until next week

Yeah Carolina has been in win now mode for a few years and are objectively worse than they were a few months ago
They will still struggle to score deeper in the playoffs

Yet they still have better betting odds for the Cup than Vegas… doesn’t make sense.

Good God I'm not even going to recognize the Avs roster tomorrow

Screw Carolina for sending Mikko to the damn Stars
He goes from one of my favorite players to on my most hated team in mere weeks

After declining 8 years at 11.75 AAV for Colorado, acting heartbroken and shocked at the trade, then signing 8 years at 12 AAV in Dallas, screw him

Confirmed Stars Avs first round matchup now, though

That was pretty good

To me they haven't really done anything good since Indestructible
That album and 10,000 Fists were amazing but like most other bands from that era the late 2010s and 2020s have just had them pumping out generic sounding material
