He roofed that so hard at first thought he sent it over
Wow red card and penalty in stoppage time
Yes there is a concussion protocol in hockey - after certain hits “spotters” will pull them off for evaluation
You have lots of things on there that I did - including Auberge lunch after Chappellet and Jarvis morning Palmaz afternoon

You could hit up Oxbow market or somewhere Downtown Napa between Jarvis and Palmaz. Jarvis had almonds cheese and crackers nothing crazy.
Also kind of ironic that Jack came back to be the hero (and played very well the entire tournament) since he is known for being made of glass. Definitely not a typical hockey “tough guy”

He has 1-2 long term injuries per year since being in the NHL and even cut himself with a knife at a team dinner this year to miss many weeks.

So if even one of the most breakable guys in hockey can do this what does that say about ole street clothes?
Of course I’ve watched nearly every game of this tournament but was in Disney Paris day of gold medal game so missed the entire thing

After watching highlights here are my takeaways

First off - Hellebuyck was absolutely fantastic and stole that game
Defense was on points - we knew going in GK and D were strengths and that showed

Boldy’s first goal was unbelievably impressive
Jack Hughes was a monster all tournament and Quinn was a machine

Feel gutted for MacKinnon missing that empty net - hopefully he comes back on a pissed heater for the Avs
Devils are wondering where has this Jack Hughes been for us?

He looks great
Looking pretty good so far

Don’t want to mess around and leave it late like Canada
Quinn wanted to end that thing - he was firing in OT

Whew that was underwhelming but the Swedes are very good
Liking the aggression so far

Sweden high end talent in 3 on 3 is scary
USA isn’t doing much here
Going to be a butt clenching finish
Y’all I got into London this morning and was looking forward to watching this game all day.

Hulu and Peacock don’t work and I can’t sign up for the BBC app. Found a channel that showed entire second period then cut out. Finally found a new channel. Guess I needed a VPN.

Back watching though now shite
Chalk has held today, barring a massive Latvian comeback with 12 minutes left

Canada-Czechia
USA-Sweden
Slovakia-Germany
Finland-Switzerland

These should be some great games, possibly minus the first.

He absolutely has.

He needs to be otherworldly, a la McDavid, to win gold.

As long as he doesn't screw up in big moments and continue what he's been doing, it will be enough

He missed two sitters and lost McDavid for the winning goal in the 4 Nations so hopefully he wants to redeem himself there. But Sweden first.

It's going to look that way when you play a team like France. They haven't looked any better than the USA outside of that.

Yeah, they have

They destroyed Czechia and Switzerland who are both far better teams than anyone the US has played so far. They also never had any questionable moments like the US did for 2/3 of the game v Denmark

I'm not saying US has no chance, but it's objective that Canada has looked better even throwing out the France game.

It should be a fun knockouts
USA definitely got the worst draw

Sweden is incredibly dangerous and is gold medal caliber even if they haven't looked it so far. Hopefully their goaltending shows up like it did in the first two games bc Gustavson was damn awful.

Hate to say it but Canada looks unstoppable thus far.
Going into this I wanted to what Swayman could do bc he was the hottest goalie coming in

After today nope
