I don’t expect it to be extended. Unfortunately that does nothing for my flight tomorrow.

I agree. Can’t happen soon enough!

Is the testing to come back to the US part of the mask mandate, or is that something completely different?

Different decision has to be made on that.

Do you know when the current mandate on the testing to get back into the US is set to expire?

I'd like to book a trip to Mexico in May.

I don't believe it has a date attached to it like the mask mandate.

There's no set date. Airline lobbyists have urged the Biden administration to end it, but so far they haven't changed anything.

Just found out that I've gotta fly to Calgary for work in a couple weeks & I've been researching the various testing requirements this morning. This will be the first Covid test I've even taken throughout the entire ordeal, so trying to figure it all out.

We have a big opportunity up there but everyone from my group is avoiding the travel right now. It's less about the testing, and more about the restrictions if you test positive while there. It is brutal. Like jail and a huge fine if you leave your quarantine spot that you're stuck at for 10 or so days.

Just pay attention to that.

My guess is that if the mandate is dropped, the passenger drama isn't going to go away. Instead of people getting thrown off of planes for not wearing a mask, the ones who will still wear one will go off on a non-wearer for coughing near their 2-year-old or some other dumb shite. People are going to be idiots regardless of what the airline requires.

I've been saying for awhile that just based on this admin, there is NO WAY this thing is ending on March 18th. Several people at work argued with me about it too.

I'll go on record: It won't end on April 18th, either.

Yep. At this point it's like believing it when I see it actually happen

Over/Under is set at August 1st. Place your bets.

I'll take the over.

I cant wait for people to stop carrying about my safety.

They’ve come out and said it’s an “easing of restrictions” so they can base it more on individual communities or something and their Covid numbers.

So the answer is actually “never” because they will just change it regularly for different areas.
