I agree with international being much longer, as it should be. Just curious how far beyond 2022 are we talking.

I think US airlines will follow CDC guidelines with no masks for vaccinated. No idea how they will enforce that.

By not allowing you on the plane unless you're vaccinated. It's coming sooner or later. Hopefully we push back but doubtful based on what we've seen over the last year

Unfortunately the TSA (under what guidance I have no idea) extended the “federal” mask mandate on planes through September 13.

With the reversal of guidance from the CDC yesterday and most states ending their mask mandates maybe we will get lucky and it ends sooner?

As an FA it f***ing blows arse having to wear one 14 hours a day.

I definitely feel for the FAs. I don’t particularly mind it. I feel like the airlines will be the absolute last to stop requiring masks. I’d think spring 2022 is realistic

If I was a betting man, I’d say right before the 4th of July.

They already made comments they are looking at those mandates, however, I’d imagine some of the airlines with continue to require even after the feds drop it.

As a conservative FA it’s horrible. I have no problem if someone wants to wear a mask or a company wants to require it, but the govt shouldn’t be mandating it.

I do think it’ll end before September due to the fact they seem to be walking back restrictions even at the federal level.

I do not know, but I do hope it never ends. I have never enjoyed flying more than now. Masks make the cabins less noisy and less germy. Masked flights are one of the positive takeaways from covid19.

I'm not too worried about the germiness, but folks talk less with the masks and that makes me happy. A quiet flight where no one talks to me at all is preferred.

I know that you’re a FA. Curious to hear what’s the latest on this now that the Delta variant is rampant and more states are going back to masks?

By the end of May, there will be very few infections in the US. We will reach herd immunity by July.

So, the mask mandate will almost certainly end sometime this summer.

well that didn't work out well

Any thoughts about it being extended beyond 2023?

Would be meaningless. Anything Biden does beyond the midterm elections is sort of pointless as the R's will almost certainly take one or both Houses.

It SHOULD end sometime in 2022 but who the frick knows

Yeah…I was really optimistic several months ago.

Obviously with what is going on now and the political pressure…I would be absolutely shocked if it doesn’t get extended beyond September 13th.

Looking back on this thread is depressing because this shite just keeps going and going.

At this point I’m not holding my breath for anything before spring of 2022 at this point.
