Why can’t younger leftist understand their policies are destructive long term?

I understand that younger people are being propagandized in schools and colleges, but shouldn’t they instinctively know that their woke causes will ultimately doom society?
Everything that seems natural or logical, they take the opposite side.
They even support policies that will eventually harm them and any future offspring.
It’s like they are under a spell!

they don't care.
They want fame and the rush of being a part of something bigger than themselves.
They ignore all historical evidence that these policies fail over and over again. In fact, they never work. Except for those at the very top.
They are very poor students who never grasped the lessons of history. Because they were told that history itself is racist and misogynistic. How convenient!

That's a bit much, especially considering all the Leftist economic policies of Trump that were/are defended by his fans.
But to answer your question, it's because socialism is a great idea in theory that simply doesn't work in reality, and people always play the "it wasn't real socialism" or "it was implemented incorrectly" cards

It will never work, period.
All groups will have to be willing to work the same as the person next to them for socialism to work, and that will never happen.

Ain’t no “like” about it, they are under a spell. My son texted me that another student at his high school offed himself. Then said it was a tranny. Then my naive arse, ask my daughter, ‘they have trannys in high school?’ She said it was rampant. I naively thought there was an outlier here and there, didn’t know there are clusters.

This country also screwed up following the fall of the Berlin Wall and the U.S.S.R. If there would have been any reason for the Department of Education to exist it would have been to fund some kind of program where students of every public school in the country would have at least one mandatory school lecture given by a person who had lived in eastern Europe or the U.S.S.R. during the Cold War every year. Hitting teenagers with real life is a far more effective lesson than a history book is, especially a history book written by Howard Zen. If that would have been done things would look a whole lot different in this country.

because the entire educational system teaches them NOT to think, EVER, so when you are programed to not think at all and just accept the narrative is always correct and to ignore your own eyes and experiences, then its easy to understand why they support their own destruction.

Exactly right, use to be that doctors had to transition from robotic thinking to independent thought, once they received their bachelor's degree. But even that is now robotic under the Obama bureaucratic.

It’s time to stop blaming schools and universities. Parents are to blame. Teach your kids right and wrong at a young age, and universities will not have a chance at changing them. Also, don’t send them to super liberal universities!
