re: Why can’t we control the Strait of Hormuz?

Why have us soldiers get killed when the outcome will be achieved without needless deaths?
Because it won’t be achieved.

Oh by the way, this is not a war. It is a reckoning. We will win and are winning. You just need to except that your gas bill will be higher until it is over.
I can deal with the higher gas bill of if we were trying to win. We’re not. All Trump is trying to do now is save face. We’ve accomplished absolutely nothing. The regime is not going to fold. It’s going to continue to fund its proxies in the region and now they’ve proven they’re willing and able to close the strait whenever they chose. Strategically we’re in a worse position now than we were when we started the war.

If all it took were some more sanctions then why have we been bombing and cease firing and bombing and cease firing etc for the past 6 months?
When was the last time we bombed them? Really no need to anymore. Now we starve them out. I guess you did not notice that their currency is now worth less than ever. One US dollar is worth 2 million of theirs. The trade embargo that is starting today will starve them out, period. No need to bomb a pile of rubble.

Trump has them right where he wants them

Stupid libtard panicans. We're in complete control, and this ain't a war. We just have to escort ships for the foreseeable future, accept higher gas prices because of the reduced volume, and every now and then Iran will sneak a drone through and bomb some tankers. Drink your soy latte and let the patriots deal with things

You must be really young and naive. I and others have tried to explain it to you. You just simply cannot grasp it. Sorry chief, I am not going to waste my time on someone that is to ignorant to understand what is going on. Good luck in life. You will need it.

Extremely unlikely.

lol ok “chief.” It’s okay that you don’t have the balls to debate me. Because you know I’m right and you’re just trying to blindly support your guy.
Look man I like Trump too. On pretty much every other policy I think he’s killing it. But he botched this war. Badly.

At some point Trump and trumpeters will proclaim that this was all part of the plan
It wasn’t
This was a massive stepping on their dick.
They hoped the people would rise up and overthrow the government but it didn’t happen. They didn’t even anticipate the strait hiccup. Epic fail
But they’ll claim it a win and 4-d chess.

Why would you put yourself in a position that benefits the enemy?
You're right they cant do it because they don't control the strait. Congrats on finally realizing this.

Congrats on your victory. Yes Iran controls the soh and no ships are passing through….except the ones that are. Woopsie daisy. I guess they missed 16m barrels passing through last night. They usually do 20m but we are getting closer to prewar amounts. Oh by the way, we are making up the difference.

Just admit you think they are still an effective fighting force
The Navy and Air Force haven't been reduced to some bass boats.
Now come back n babble about drones.
It's all they have left

Now "winning" looks like just getting back to the status quo before the war. What a fricking pathetic disgrace this is.
Status quo was a terrorist state enriching uranium.
Honest question: if Trump tells America in October 2024 what he's gonna do, does he win the election? You know the answer.

They’re effective enough to keep traffic through the strait at a trickle of prewar levels.

They’re effective enough status of their navy and Air Force are irrelevant.

That and the will to use them to get their will. We don’t have the will to put our forces in harms way to stop them. So I guess drones is all the really need. Oh, and let’s not forget the Iranian supported Houthis threatening Bab el Mandeb strait either.

It is happening just not fast enough.
Then what?
A regime led by Iranians who love America will emerge?
No one with two brain cells to rub together believes that Trump has a plan for the aftermath. The most likely scenario if this regime is toppled is that rival factions fight over control...with China backing the side they think will win.
