Pureblood checking in. I have watched almost every world cup game since 1994 when I was 11. I hunt fish and vote republican. Pay my taxes and never been arrested

You can get CTE in soccer too. It's very common. They hit the hard, fast moving soccer balls with their heads.

I asked myself this when MLS began in the United States. The fact that libs populate MLS stadiums chased me away from the sport I once played and loved as a fan. It sucks

Soccers a pretty fun sport like any other. Also, the whole world loves it. The World Cup is a nice break from the sports we continuously watch here.
It’s also not detracting growing popularity from our sports here. The rest of the world is as interested in football for example, as we are in soccer.

Touching a soccer ball with the foot is magical and the ball has amazing healing powers.

There’s a guy at my work that has been talking about the World Cup constantly, and no one else there gives a frick about it. He’s been told that no one there gives a frick about it, yet he always asking “did you see that game between third world shithole country against other third world shithole country?” and we just say “No, because we were all busy training your old lady and no one gives a shite about it!”

Couple of my in-laws love the World Cup because its a sporting event that the USA cant win..
They laugh their way thru our games and then pick one of the traditional soccer powerhouses as their "favorite" teams
It's their chance to say "see!? We arent the best!" Which is why I love watching it hoping that we accidentally shut these people up
