Well world cup visitors from all over the world are saying how great America is and how much they love it. Why don't liberals love the country that they live in? I would be happy to trade a liberal who hates the US and is not proud for a foreigner who visited here and loves the U.S.

These people have no idea how good they have it and don't believe people when they tell them.

Exactly.

There are far more illegals wanting in that I would happily trade for a boat load of liberals.

This is a big part of it. Another is an opportunity for 1st and second generation immigrants to openly support their home countries and for progressive turds to openly root against the United States.

I have been watching the World Cup for a few reasons:

1. I am loving seeing how much foreigners are enjoying experiencing North America for the first time. I really feel like this is a “supermarket moment” for a lot of these people who’s only impressions of America came from propaganda.

2. I am a patriot and want to see the U.S. crush the world at their own game. I want America to win everything, everywhere, every time. This is another high profile opportunity to drag our freedom nuts across the world’s face, so I’m all for it. The fact that we barely give the slightest f$&k about this sport while many nations involved live and die by it makes the victories that much sweeter. The U.S. is framed internationally as both an underdog and the villain, so that just makes rooting for them that much more fun.

3. There’s no other sports to watch this time of year besides regular season MLB. NBA and NHL just finished their postseason, preseason football won’t start for another month, and the CWS is over (LSU’s season was over months ago). Soccer is pretty boring, but it’s slightly more watchable than MLB in the regular season, and the games are infinitely more meaningful.

American Football is gaining a foothold in Europe.
Many cities have bars dedicated to it.
Cafe New Orleans Saints in Paris by the Notre Dame is a full on Saints themed bar. Lots of people from Louisiana meet up there. I was in Dublin a while back when they had nfl stuff all over for their game. You can catch football on tv at odd times.
Mexico and Canada are big followers of our football. Japan and England have college football. It's bigger than we expected

My interest is in Europeans amazed at how wonderful the USA is. They are just like my son's then girlfriend from Austria in 2000, portion sizes for food is unheard of along with pricing lower as well. they find hard to believe the size of grocery stores and wide selection of foods in them. They've never met friendlier people than Americans dashing everything they ever thought bad about us.

Also, just like that same GF who looked miserable the day I took them crabbing/fishing and a tour of marsh, something they wouldn't experience elsewhere and amazed at the beauty of America. That was the only thing she talked about upon their return to Austria.

LSU fans found a fan base which can contend with them in Sottish fans drinking bars dry.

I think this board calls anyone not full on Maga a liberal. This board used to have a high percentage of Lebertarians and moderates.
The political spectrum is much more than a duality. Plenty of people neither liberal or conservative.

It's a great opportunity to act like a fan, wear rainbow shite, and virtue signal.

Just don't want to be left out.

Well if you go onto reddit they would tell you no right wingers like soccer.

I really don't understand the OP at all. MLS tries to be pretty liberal with some of the supporter stuff, but libs haven't liked this World Cup at all. Because liberals hate America above all else, they want to see the American World Cup fail.

Most of the reddit bots were hating & predicting this world cup to be a failure because of the usual. dRuMpF. The rest of social media has just been normal international people appreciating the US and connecting with our citizens.

There's actually been a strong influx of normal people in the soccer subreddits too. It's been fun to see people actually calling out stuff like the Iran-Egypt, Islam vs. Gay match & Canada having much more strict borders than the US.

I never was a soccer fan, but I absolutely love the stories about the international fans coming here and saying how great America is. It takes outsiders to really appreciate it....and it destroys the Progressive narrative that we are an evil place that needs to be changed. It must irk them what they are saying about America,

It never was going to go bad because we, Canada, and Mexico have too much experience hosting stadium events, whether it was football or soccer.

Because they want America to be like Europe: Poor, less free, highly regulated, unable to criticize the government, and in love with soccer.
