One group are first world people, the other are third world shite holers. You make prices go up and first world is going to be pissed. That doesn’t work on people that are third worlders.

Bingo. Ideology vs. Economic. They'll obliterate their country before they'll ever concede. Sad thing is, that's their leadership. We know several Iranians that live in the area. Wonderful, hard working people. The country used to be a westernly oriented, culturally progressive country. Probably the most of any Middle Eastern country. They actually still go visit family there ocassionally. My take from listening to them is there's still a large portion of the population that doesn't support the fanaticism that's in power, but they're powerless and will be for the foreseable future.

The US could crush Iran economically/financially in 6-12 months but a lot of Americans do not have the guts and perseverance to deal with the potential economic hardships the US would also likely experience. Of course there is also the political aspect of conducting such a campaign and the associated costs.

Iran will not cry uncle because those in power will be fine and those people don't not care about anything else outside of their theocracy.

My opinion is that we have some Obama and DSA people advising iran on our strategies and capabilities.

No one voted for total war with Iran at great cost. It wasn't ever sold to them. Even the people who think saying "panican" is an argument never voted for it. The pitch in 2024 was an end to constant, expensive, overseas military adventures.

Iran didn't attack us much less attack American soil, we decided to go in and attack them to try to remove the government. We didn't get it done.

Coming back to the American people and saying, well, we have to go total war now, and you'll just have to experience higher prices and dead soldiers for a while is of course going to be massively unpopular. It's going to lose a lot of people who actually did vote for Trump 3 times.

If you want American people to have the "guts" to stick with a real war maybe you should sell them on the war first, and even have Congress declare war like the Constitution says is supposed to happen.

President Trump has taken the "choke off their economy with sanctions" approach augmented by selective target bombing. As I write this the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps central command building in Tehran is on fire.

Slowly he's choking off the head of the snake, while attempting to keep as much of the infrastructure in place for the freed Persians of Iran. .

Trump 2026 - he took a bullet from an assassin sent by Iran. When intelligence discovered a plot by Iran to send terrorist to kill us he stopped Iran with bombing.
