To be fair, the number one reason the middle class has shrunk over the last 30-40 years is because people have moved upwards, out of it, not the other way around as they'd have us believe. I think perception doesn't always equate reality and I think we also have an issue with what people think necessities are vs what actual luxury items are these days.

That's not to say there aren't a ton of issues and I'm not really disagreeing with your post per se, moreso pointing out a major problem with why the politicians that are gaining steam in these areas are doing so, is because they've been able to convince the people they haven't seen these benefits, even though they've been huge benefactors of them.

I’m not sure that I fully agree.

I would say that student loans are THE anchor that weighs them down.

When 1/4 to 1/3 of your income is gone before you do anything else, then a portion of those gains are cancelled out.

I know quite a few people in that age group that are doing quite well. Their common denominator…no student loans.

They have seen war, recession, corruption, and the rise of a billionaire class while being told they are "the richest poor people in the world" and should be grateful for that. Factor in a completely dysfunctional 2 party government system where neither party works towards improving the lives of their citizens, and you get people lashing out. And nothing scares the American establishment like the threat of big Socialism, so that's the button they are pushing. I'm old and grabbed my "wealth", but I am genuinely fearful about the economy my college bound teenagers will inherit.

Oh, and thinking this tantrum will stop at the borders of NYC and LA would be a very bad policy decision.

Do you not declare 10% voting in an election apathy? What's it going to take?

LOL

The establishment is pushing most all of these communist causes and has been for decades. In fact, that’s exactly why we are where we are today.

No, they have wrongly been told that wealth would be redistributed to get them to blindly voting for the candidates who have told them that. Along with college academia telling them that only socialism or communism can solve all of America's ills. Even though history proves different.

Now, how long does that take them to wake up and finally realize they have been played? No idea.

A large portion of the black community has finally woken up under the two Trump presidencies and walked away from the founders of the KKK. Shedding light on the SPLC will also have even more waking up. And think it's taken since the Civil Rights Act for them to finally see they have been being played this whole time.

Very well said for a crybaby excuse of people thinking everything should be given to them so that they can enjoy life as they want to enjoy it with no responsibilities or accountability for their own direction in adult life. Fact is that their have been more opportunities in the last 15 years for people to make life altering sums of money in very short time.

No, most of us are mid class workforce not because we want to be but because we don't want to be dependent on others and we want to live as comfortable as we can. Those who are using the excuse of billionaires are looking for a reason to be victims to rationalize they are not responsible for their own life/environment.

While I don't disagree with what you are saying, most kids today, think they will get out of college and start making enough money to buy anything they want. They don't realize that wealth is not built overnight but takes years.

Part of this view they hold comes from influencers they see on social media traveling all over the world.

What the hell kind of phone is she using that still has an audio jack input?

Wired headphones are trending pretty heavily with Gen Z and younger generations. All you need is an adapter if you have a kind that won’t plug into your phone directly.

It's wild, and a failure of the adults in the room, that this is believed by more than losers living on the fringe of society.

These far left people getting nominated or moving to primary gives Republicans a better chance.
Moderate dems will vote R over Far left. You'll start seeing people push back.
Not all democrats embrace the far left.

No they won’t.

This is why they push the fascism campaign and try so hard to convince everyone that maga is “far right”…equal and opposite to what is becoming the main stream communist left.
