They are apparently targeting Temu Obama next. The silver linings of communism, I guess.

You could run in a democrat party and pledge to kill everyone that votes for you and you would still get elected by the dems as long as your name isn't Trump. "He's so brave!" they would scream.

NY isn’t representative of the country

Voters aged 18-40 have been told since birth that the wealth would eventually trickle down. They haven't seen it. They have seen war, recession, corruption, and the rise of a billionaire class while being told they are "the richest poor people in the world" and should be grateful for that. Factor in a completely dysfunctional 2 party government system where neither party works towards improving the lives of their citizens, and you get people lashing out. And nothing scares the American establishment like the threat of big Socialism, so that's the button they are pushing.
Yup. They pushed the MAGA button first to try to fix things and it was the right choice but Trump betrayed us and continued to ignore many economic issues here and instead put Israel dick inside mouth and gave us more war and inflation. So Socialism is now where many are flocking to. They’re just looking for something. Trump can reverse this trend if he goes back to America first and gets stuff done but not sure he can because his political capital is expended and Congress won’t pass his agenda and every judge stops his every move

What is your hill to die on?
2A? Another scamdemic? What would make you say, yeah, I am willing to lose my job and have my wife leave me but I’m not having this.

Maga isn't as conservative as true conservatives. It's also not moderate like what y'all call Rinos. It's the middle of the republican party.
None of this has anything to do with the left, the media, etc…making maga out to be fascists.

You’ll get a lot of angry responses from posters on this board, followed by the usual litany of calling you a leftist, etc., but there is of course a lot of truth in this.
Oh horror of horrors

Thanks to everyone for the actual good thoughts on the topic without all the ad hominem and deflection as per usual. Poliboard of old shows up today. Love that.
I 100% agree. I have 1 undergrad and 2 grad degrees, and they weren't paid off until 48 years old. That's an obscene cost to educate a populace. Granted, I have more degrees than most, but I'm only in the top 18%, based on family income. And I have a sugar momma with a great occupation for work/life balance. Paying off loans until 40 for an average degree is madness!
If you removed the profit motive from academia (and Healthcare), we would be much better off as a country. Capitalism is king, but it's important to recognize deficiencies in the system.

I would say that student loans are THE anchor that weighs them down.

Allow nyc to revert back to being 5 cities, and allow nyc to become an independent city-state.

Simple - millions and millions of people indoctrinated in our atheistic institutions of higher learning now insist on junking our U. S. Constitution Capitalist Free Market System and embracing a quasi muslim / marxist / socialist utopia.
Should we tell them that system has never worked? Naw - they prolly won't listen.

What the hell kind of phone is she using that still has an audio jack input?
I mean I get it, but based on what they’re finding with the risks from Bluetooth headphones we should probably all be switching back to corded headphones honestly.

Academia…yes.
Healthcare…not so much.
I have accompanied people on medical visits in Australia, Germany, France, and England.
It was a mixed bag.
Common cold etc. = great.
“Scheduled” surgery = a crime against humanity
Emergency surgery = quite good
Every system has flaws, but a large swath of healthcare is “scheduled” these days, and not having to wait forever (while regularly in pain) puts us ahead overall, despite the financial pain that can accompany that healthcare.

What are the degrees in?

It’s ridiculous. To make it even worse, the cost of a degree and the value of said degree have become inversely proportional in most cases.
