What do the final two years of the Trump presidency look like if Republicans lose both?

Is it possible that he could be impeached and removed from office? Does the new ballroom get stopped?

At the very least, it’ll be a stalemate, with vetoes and budget battles, right?

That's what they said they'd do. That's what they did last time.

Don’t think they’ll go after Trump right away and allow him to become the star of his own reality show again. Trump loves telling his followers ‘when they come after me, they’re coming after you!’ And people eat it up.

Instead they start from the ground up, rooting out corruption (guilfoyle will certainly squeal), refusing appropriations for the ICE build out, going after Hegseth etc etc.

Don’t go after the guy made of Teflon, go after everyone else who isn’t.

Republicans will scatter like cockroaches to distance themselves from Trump.

If Democrats control Congress, expect:

- Defunding of Border Security
- Defunding of ICE
- Wall construction will be stopped
- Increased illegal immigration
- Increased trafficking - drugs and people

Basically, the primary issues for Trump supporters - illegal immigration - will all be defunded and the Trump immigration polices will be reversed.

Dems will go so over the top with DSA lunacy that they will doom their 2028 chances.

No, and he will totally embarrass the Dems. If the dems fail to help improve the country, 2028 POTUS is another GOP.

But, the GOP will increase numbers this cycle. No worries.

Probably not - maybe a slight redsign.

Yes. Congress will pass a bunch f bad laws and Trump will veto them. Trump will use executive orders to run the government and Congress will sue him. Nothing will get done which is the best-case scenario for the US citizens

If the Republicans lose control of the House the first thing the Mafia democrats will do is impeach President Trump.

And knowing the loathing by these RINO Republicans in the Senate for Donald Trump I fear our pal John Thune may very well stand by and watch the Senate impeach him as well. If the Republicans do that - they will cede control of the U.S.Congress to the mafia democrats for decades. More troubling, they will oversee the destruction of our Constitutional Republic Free Markets Capitalist government.

This experiment in self-government was always a delicate balance. I cannot forget the comment by Ben Franklin when asked by Mrs. Elizabeth Willing Power,"Well Doctor what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" To which Ben Franklin responded,"A Republic, if we can keep it".

Clearly, there are mafia democrat running for office right now, who want something other than a Constitutional Republic.

And those RINO Republicans are destroying the concept of the dual party arrangement.

THAT is NOT a good thing.

Congrats on your first PT post. Is this how Bama fans cope with a loss?

Nothing gets done anyway so legislatively nothing changes at all.

The only difference is endless House investigations and subpoena fight for people in the Trump circle.

If Democrats were smart they would not try to impeachment Trump. They should recognize he's going and just focus on 2028.

However, considering the fact that Democrats have mishandled the Trump phenomenon since 2015 I expect they will go all in on impeachment and I would say they would have a decent chance at removal this time around. There are certainly enough Republicans in the Senate that would like to convict Trump and permanently damage his legacy.

It will be less than two years. Months maybe even weeks

That takes 67 senators.

If the GOP goes along with that they will destroy the party.

They'll start with Hegseth. And Trump will throw him under the bus.

You speak of this as if you want to convince people that 'corruption' in rampant in THIS administration.

This is the most "for the people" administration of my knowledgeable lifetime - going back to FDR. He is absolutely fighting off more internally generated bullshite opposition than any POTUS in history.

He is also the victim of the most evilly-driven MEDIA in history. There is zero semblance of honest reportage ==== this is why Trump has decided to do so much on-camera interaction = the only way his actual verbiage gets out to the public.

IF you have any affiliation for the Democrat party, you are aligning yourself with the most dishonest, most evil since the democrat assholes of the segregation era. They still USE blacks as 'slaves' in the political sense - they will pay them to remain on the needy side of our property as long as they demonstrate on demand and 'vote left' -

btw - do you have an example of a real instance of corruption[? - if so - let us know and we'll see how it compares the the most recent democrat POTUS (or whoever were performing the functions for the imbecile-in-chief.)

A lot of grandstanding and yelling in congressional oversight hearings.

And lawsuits from the peripheral grifters (Noem, Habba, Guilfoyle, etc.) seeking to quash congressional subpoenas
