Bogus impeachment trials incoming. Just like last time. Except, this time I look for the sorry bastards to go after several people. Hegseth, for example. I have a strong suspicion that the person the Dems fear the most for 2028 is Rubio, so I could see them going after him, too.

But, what will potentially be even much worse? If the Dems win the Presidency in 2028 AND control Congress, America is doomed. They will immediately open up the floodgates regarding the Southern border, they will pack the Supreme Court, and they will do so many other things which will cumulatively DESTROY America.

Most likely the last thing you said. Nothing he wants to get passed will pass and anything that the Democrats want he will veto. So the government will accomplish nothing for the next two years.

You clowns from both parties are so fickle and yet your don't understand the general population is even worse.

2 years from now the pissed off people will blame the house and senate for their problems and the other party will win.

When Obama swept into office with a super majority Democrats claimed Republicans would never win again. 2 years later they lost the House and Senate.

Trump wins in 2016 and the Republican clowns claimed Democrats were done. They weren't. Then they claimed people were done with Trump and MAGA. They weren't. 2024 happened.

Losing in 2026 only hurts because of Judicial seats. That is it. And only if they lose the Senate. They can impeach all they want. They will not convict and remove Trump and then they will be blamed for being a do nothing congress and for restarting the illegal flood across the border. Then they lose 2028. Simple as that.

Expect the longest government shutdown in history. Dems will fill the budget with their entire wishlist and Trump will veto it. MSM will label it the Trump shutdown and we'll see who caves first.

If Democrats control Congress, expect:

- Defunding of Border Security
- Defunding of ICE
- Wall construction will be stopped
- Increased illegal immigration
- Increased trafficking - drugs and people

We'll see.

The thing Trump remembers that all his sycophants here forget is that he has veto power and he's demonstrated historically that he's also not afraid to shut down the government.

Also, immigration and transing kids are the single biggest reasons he won in 2024.

I'm not saying that the Democratic Party is too smart to go where you're predicting, but I don't think it will g over the way they hope if they do.

In fact, if they continue to push against two issues that have widespread support, it could be great for Republicans in 2028.

In this insane alternative reality you've created for yourself, who gets credit if things improve these next two years of Trumps term? A hypothetical Dem congress?

Who got credit when the Newt Gingrich led Congress forced a screaming and kicking "Slick Willie" Clinton to sign a balanced budget amendment? POTUS Trump will certainly expose the reps and sens for their ignorance if he must.

lose the house and not R legislation get voted on.....impeachment hearings start the day after the house elects its leaders.

lose the senate and no judiciary nominees get voted on, no cabinet level nominees get voted on, and impeachment hearings start after senate elects their leaders

lose both and you will definitely see house impeach president and definitely see senate hold a "trial" but no way the senate can get 67 votes to remove from office. would require too many Rs to vote :yes", it would be the death of the party and the end of their political careers....See Cassidy as the example

and regardless of party affiliation politicians will do what ever keeps them in Washington

but other then the hearings and votes on nominees, nothing really changes in congress

Affordable health insurance plans will be rolled out. These plans will turn out to be terrible. Republicans will break out repeal and replace once again. Rinse and repeat.

What do the final two years

Basically the same as Bush's final 2 years. November is going to be bad, but hopefully 2028 isn't as bad as 2008. If November is bad and 2028 looks bleak then let Vance be the sacrificial lamb a la McCain and then pour all the money into down-ballot races.
