The shitty mas produced, high fruitous corn syrup and other carcinogenic shite they spray on our produce.
I've lived in The UK and traveled all over Europe.
A loaf of bread last 3 days and is hard as a hockey puck at that point I have a loaf of bunny bread in my pantry that is now 3 weeks old and still consumable.
How is that possible?
I shopped 2 days out max for produce and perishable goods.
I honestly believe our food is killing us

Big food gets us hooked on crap processed foods loaded with sugar so we can develop diabetes.

In the past big tobacco also helped by getting people hooked on a product that if used properly will make you sick with emphysema or various cancers

Big Pharma says we can help....we'll develop drugs that can help manage the effects that you'll have to use for the rest of your life.....so chow down America

Expense of health care.

Spoke to a patient the other day. They met me in shock after talking to registration. They got “amount billed” to insurance. $1.5 million!!!! The patient was having a CABG, not a transplant, a bypass.

That amount is both ridiculous and fictional. NOBODY is getting that amount. It just makes the patient feel their insurance is great when they only owe $30k. Then the hospital claims a loss.

There is no real world fee for service.

Real cures that people know about, amigo.
Not some obscure cancer drug.
Where are the commercials for it?
Who can afford it?

P.S. If they could make money on it there would be non stop commercials on it like the big pharma ones.

There’s no cure for aging.

We all die.

Real cures for something like cancer would be revolutionary for healthcare and would be paid as such.

One of the big places other countries save money is by not treating the elderly. I think something like 50% of all HC costs are in the last year of. life.

Diet and exercise. We suck at both.

What the FDA allows to be put in our foods only exacerbates the problem. Diet and exercise are huge, but what's in that water you're drinking and what was used throughout the process of growing and transporting those veggies you're eating and what steroids and hormones ended up in the meat you're consuming?

Now, why does the government not want you having a garden or raising your own beef or drawing from your own water supply? It's all connected.

It's in the book I'm reading. Health care is another business that enjoys semi-monopolies. Hospitals, insurance companies and drug companies are so large and few in number that they can control price increases without provable collusion. They know how to work cooperatively to increase all of their profits. They don't have to have a meeting to plan it.

Hospitals and clinics are everywhere
That is what we refer to as an association.

How is life expectancy calculated?

------

Consider three contributions to the equation:

Many countries exclude premature deaths, particularly those occurring very soon after birth, from their life expectancy calculations.

Gangbanger yuutes shooting each other.

Genetic diversity c/w every other wealthy nation.

Bad diet, sedentary lifestyle, and stress are certainly part of it, but another big part of why we spend so much more is elective procedures.

We spend way more per capita on elective procedures than other developed countries.

Hell, what is the life expectancy of a rapper? 35?

25. “Aspiring rappers” tend to be 18 or younger.

Look at life expectancy by income level.

The higher up on the chain you are the longer you live. These are facts.

Average American lives 15 years less than an upper class member of America.

Again, facts.

The AMA and Health Insurance executives meet annually to discuss pricing and premium adjustments. It's a lot like the MIC and Blackrock!!
