Hospitals and clinics are everywhere. Drug ads are 24/7. How about a cure?

A lot of that can be explained by the unique aspects of our health care system. Among other things, we reward doctors more for medical procedures than for keeping people healthy, keep costs hidden from customers and spend money on tasks that have nothing to do making patients feel better.

It’s not hard. Morbid obesity, fentanyl. And don’t forget about the gun violence in big cities. The last two are claiming a bunch of very young lives. Hell, what is the life expectancy of a rapper? 35?

Because we don’t take responsibility for learning anything about taking care of ourselves. Americans are lazy and want to pay someone do do it for us!

It's not healthcare, it's suicide, bad diets, drug overdoses etc.

Yes our healthcare infrastructure still sucks.

Compare the demographics of the people in our healthcare system vs those of other wealthy nations.

Treating the illness is far more profitable, than curing the illness.

It’s *entirely* driven by deaths of those under age 40 being so much higher in America

American culture is unhealthy. And I’m not hating on it, I love everything about this country. But a negative side of our culture is poor health. This is because we are a culture of excesses. We love shite that’s bad for us, and we over consume it. Junk food, processed food, fast food, tobacco, drugs, alcohol. Keeping up with the joneses. Big homes, vacation homes, big cars, extravagant vacations, etc etc. We must have these things, and that requires money. To have money requires a lot of work time. We pile on stress, long hours, rack up debt which requires more work now mom has to get a job to pay bills so no more home cooked meals that’s ok I’ll just grab McDonald’s at lunch and Chinese take out for the family on the way home. More sugar, more sodium, more junk. Take Xanax to deal with work anxiety and stress, adderall and caffeine to stay awake and focused, bourbon after work to wind down, sleep meds so you can sleep, wake up pop some pills chug some coffee grab a sugar loaded honey bun then head to work.

It’s amazing we live as long as we do honestly

Im convinced many of the problems in this country are attributed to flat out stupidity.

We have alot more stupid people, per capita, than other wealthy nations.

We have entire demographics that can barely read by the time they are in 4th grade.

Eating a balanced diet and having a strong work ethic are not hallmarks of stupid people.

Healthcare in this country is not about healing or cures. It’s about getting you on a pharmaceutical schedule for the rest of your life.
