Below are the states that redistricted ahead of the 2026 mid terms with each intended net gain for each party post redistricting.

So if the DSA wins the House …WTH happened?

Texas Republican Gain +5 R
California Democratic Gain +5 D
Florida Republican Gain +4 R
Ohio Republican Gain +2 R
North Carolina Republican Gain +1 R
Tennessee Republican Gain +1 R
Alabama Republican Gain +1 R
Louisiana Republican Gain +1 R
Utah Democratic Gain +1 D
Missouri Blocked / Referendum No Change

Muh, midterm. And Trump pisses off a lot of people. Also, the country is changing. Youths dislike olds. Youths want it easy. Dems have convinced them they will make it easy.

The DSA isn't winning the House. The DEMs, may, though.

Imagine how bad it would have been without the gerrymandering.

That's how unpopular Trump/MAGA has become

Midterm elections typically swing the House in the opposite direction as POTUS.

Not sure if this is what’s referred to as “Muh midterms.” It’s still the norm.

Historically true, but if 2026 is the inverse of 2022, and it's only a Blue Trickle, then the paradigm may be changing.

The interesting part, if that happens, is why, exactly.

Ballot harvesting rules the day. Hell, by Law, Ilhan Omar is a fraudulent vote and she is the Dem’s poster child for their Globalist/DEI/Social Justice narrative crusade.

Talk and voting only intensify the antipathy and hatred. Strap in.

This is it in a nutshell. The youth doesn’t want to grow up and adult. They have been indoctrinated on the virtues of socialism. They will gladly trade their freedoms for Big Daddy Government parenting them for the rest of their lives.

They think that they will have the big house, the new car, all of the latest gadgets, and be able to stay home while the government pays for it all.

Too bad that’s only for illegals…

Maybe, just maybe, republican policies are so unpopular that they cannot even gerrymander themselves out of it.

“ That's how unpopular Trump/MAGA has become”

Anyone that wanted Trump 2 years ago or 6 years ago still prefer him. Now that may be a different story for local or state politicians as most of both sides can seem to attract the worst of representatives. This isn’t just a American thing it’s played out across the planet

This is not true.

2024 had a lot of moderate voters flip due to how they viewed Biden and the DEMs.

The same thing can happen in 2026, where those voters flip back due to how they view Trump and MAGA.

It should have, but many efforts were blocked. Also, there is nothing convincing that would lead anyone to believe the GOP will lose the House.

quote:

Alabama Republican Gain +1 R

This is one example. Should have been +2 here. Court shenanigans overrode the will of the people here. In other areas, GOP cowardice at the state level blocked further gains.
