Which of the 33,000 interpretations of the Protestant bible is the correct one?

Which of the 33,000 Protestant churches is the one that can trace its lineage to Christ and seriously claim he founded it?

Here, I’ll help you - Christ didn’t found a church in the 1500s.

It’s his business if he doesn’t believe in Jesus, but if you’re going to talk about Christian beliefs don’t misconstrue what Jesus himself said:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6

He is entitled to that view. It is a pretty mainstream view in our highly secular. multi-faith Republic. I disagree with him-but I am happy to agree with him on a thousand other things. I'd vote for him easily if I lived in Ohio.

Meet me at Sonic-purity test ideologues. I'll tip over your Route 44 diet cherry limeade and eat your tater tots in short order.

So, you worshipped Vivek for a few months?

Again, you fake fricking Christians disgust me. Either Christ is king or he isn't. A politician can't do anything for you.

Oh, I agree. He always gave off a creepy vibe. The more you find out about him, the less likable he is.

This is how our party weakens... just because any old slob with an R is "better than a democrat", we end up accepting some pretty awful candidates.

What makes him awful? Not being Christian?

Interesting statement given the topic because Jesus was brown from the Middle East and died for all of us.

Jesus was a white American Christian libtard

How is that? At least four-fifths of religious practitioners worldwide agree with Vivek.

The interpretation that God intended. We're all trying to understand exactly what God intended in each word and verse to be able to apply it consistently. In many instances, it's more of the application of God's word that differentiates one Protestant denomination from another, rather than the interpretation of the meaning of the text, itself.

Even so, it's rather disingenuous to highlight differences of understanding of the standards (the Bible) between Protestant denominations when there are disagreements about the standards within Catholicism, and within Orthodoxy. Everyone has a problem of sin, and sin clouding our understanding, even of what otherwise might be clear communication. How many times do Catholics misunderstand what the Popes have said, and Orthodox what the Patriarchs have said? How many times do lay people believe differently from the formal teaching of the church due to ignorance or misunderstanding? It happens all the time. Protestantism isn't unique here, and it's also a bit unfair to compare one sect (Catholicism or Orthodoxy) to many (Protestantism broadly), as if Protestantism is monolithic.

You sound like the Jews who thought they were the true sons of Abraham because they could trace their genealogy back in time. Paul teaches that what makes someone a true "Jew" and son of Abraham is faith in Jesus, not blood.

Likewise, Christ's Church is not one of succession of bishops, but of union with Jesus Christ.

Our identity is to be with Jesus Christ, not with the bishop of Rome, or the Patriarchs. That's precisely what Paul was teaching against in 1 Cor. 1, when he was rejecting affiliation with an apostle rather than with Christ.

Here, I’ll help you - Christ didn’t found a church in the 1500s.
Protestants agree. We believe we are part of the one, apostolic, universal Church of Jesus Christ that was founded by Christ nearly 2,000 years ago through union with Him as our Head.
