A black couple with young children just moved in next to me a year ago. Only blacks in a three or four mile radius. Something tells me they felt extremely safe and perhaps were fleeing something so their children could be safer but what do I know?

You should look at the makeup of politics on the micro and macro level and see how many minorities there are.
My reps are all white because thats my area but if I go to the cities they have very few whites as elected officials.

When feelings dominate a person's psyche; they are usually irrational. This is the problem when dealing with "feelings." It frequently leads to unrealistic expectations, because the problems are based in irrationality. Therefore, solutions to these problems are virtually impossible to achieve some measure of success.
What is better? To feel safe, or to be safe? This is the issue with modern society. We are largely incredibly safe compared to our ancestors. However, people have this irrational fear about just about every aspect of life, because we are always chasing an impossible goal of utter and complete safety.
Therefore, I believe it is good and necessary to expose people to risk and a modicum of danger in life to properly equip them to handle mundane risks of merely being alive.

Blacks like segregation. That's why black college students want black only events. Hell, visit a HS cafeteria at lunch and notice the seating.
