Which shows yet again how pathological he is.

Fortunately we will know one way or the other in short order

Trump has told people over and over, he's not going to them the enemy what we are going to do before we do it.

Case in point... what did Iran immediately do after Trump's words. Pull kids in to those places.

That's not the current (again CURRENT and did not say future) goal. None of us know that.

And then what???

I'll tell you what likely will happen.

Rival factions fight for control. The side we back loses to the crazier side made up of surviving Republican Guards, backed by China and/or Russia. China and/or Russia rebuild the shite we blew up. And the crazies who end up in charge now have relatives we killed in this conflict. And the nuke program starts all over again.

It takes a brain dead moron to believe that we are magically going to end up with all of Iran coalescing around a US friendly regime that has no internal rivals.

taking out bridges and power plants would be a violent shove into an Iranian revolution to overthrow those in power.

I got no problem with this.

So you don't understand what happens when energy and transportation ceases in a country???

How does Iran fuel their rockets if they have no power or bridges to deliver said fuel? How are radars stations, SAM sites, etc... powered? How do they convert raw energy into electricity? A countrywide blackout is a very scary scenario for any country not currently living in the stone ages.

Maybe, maybe not. But if you allow what has been going on to continue, you’ll get the same thing guaranteed

But that’s what feels better. So it’s naive with rose-colored glasses.

He clearly stated he no longer expects the Iranian people to revolt. He talked at length about it actually and said he doesn't blame them. They have no weapons.

It's always been a dumb concept.

An unarmed, starving, sick population is supposed to overthrow the government?

It works with tariffs (to some extent) because those countries have to get to a negotiated end point and there is some chance Trump at least is disruptive - even if you know he'll never stick by his worst threats

But none of that really matters here - it's much more black and white. Trump has increasingly dug his hole worse on Iran, and it's harder to see a beneficial outcome. He's done this before and always finds his exit - maybe here too - but it's a bigger debacle for sure.

Either way, I know its going to be the appropriate response. And everyone panicking will spend the rest of their lives doing mental gymnastics acting like they weren’t.

I'd not want to be on a bridge or near electrical plants within 100 miles of Bandar Abbas in the next few days

If it is a bluff, then what will he do once called out? Gotta have the backup if your bluff is called.

So you think both are on the table, and no matter which he picks, it's the appropriate response?
