They were 3.19 nationally a year ago well before the war
He isn't getting the national average below 2 dollars

Honestly I'm glad that he's saying something definite for a change about this thing. Before y'all start saying here's another fib of a word that he doesn't intend to keep in the first place consider what Trump does when he does this is SET the tone. Everyone is clear about what he is wants done. The president isn't a dictator he's going to need his teammates and congresspeople to help him out.

he's finally acknowledged that the war is deeply unpopular and could cost him the midterms. Thats the only reason to say something like that
Deeply unpopular? War is never popular but I haven’t seen the left protest this like they did no kings or whatever else they protest about.

Probably because in this case the right agrees with them
There are a handful of useless dumb fricks that support this war

With that logic you’d see more protests. Even Congress hasn’t shut down this war so I don’t think it’s as unpopular as you personally believe

Iran wants to hold on to see if the Dems can take Congress and impeach Trump or at least stop his military funding. That means the U.S. withdraws and they win.
OTOH, if the Dems lose the midterms then Iran will have to comply in negotiations and the U.S. wins because their economy can't take this for another 2 years.
Yep, that’s about what I had in mind.

It's very unpopular among the general public
People don't have to be protesting in the streets for this to be true

In all seriousness, how can the most die hard MAGAphytes defend this dude still?
You answered your own question.

He may very well single handedly lose Congress because of his garbage policies and outlandish bluster.
There’s no doubt in my mind that he makes things harder than they need to be.

Why are we negotiating an end to the war with them if they’re completely defeated militarily and we control the Strait?
It's so pathetic watching you guys continue to argue against hyperbole.
How do you expect Trump to make zealots surrender without risking many American lives?
If you thought controlling the strait would magically make terrorists surrender, then that's on you.
Do you understand how sieges work? Do you understand how sieges give you what you want with minimal loss of life in exchange for just a little bit of time?
Trump is slowly strangling them, but you just can't accept the obvious and be patient.

None of that will happen. More empty promises and another endless Middle Eastern War.
Someone who wants us more engaged in Ukraine doesn't really get an opinion on "another endless war" in Iran.

I look back on my grandfather's stories about the depression and fighting in ww2. Thank God he didn't live to endure the misery of higher gas prices.
Do you hope that one day your grandkids will look back on any of the hardships you have as justification for getting fricked by their own government and a lesson on why they should just take it?

I love TRUMP, but his embellishments must stop!

But people like you are the only ones advocating for the US to fight another country head on. And it’s people like you who have got the US into another real military conflict. None of us Pro-Ukraine people want the US to fight the Russians head on, or be directly involved in any way, like you guys do with Iran. Who’s the real war mongers here…

I like most of his policies but he has been and will always be one who speaks in hyperbole
.... so I pretty much ignore what he says..

Most people don’t give a frick. Hell, Americans love a good war more than anyone.

Are you pretending congress serves the people and not lobbyists like the MIC and AIPAC?
