LSU left 2 empty roster spots for them until yesterday.

Once those spots were filled, LSU could no longer add them, and it made part of the lawsuit worthless.

They'll now wait on the vote until they get the lawsuit passed, or things will get settled with LSU punishments out of court.

It was delayed because parts of it were no longer relevant after LSU filled in the last 2 roster spots, which means they will not be adding pro players.

They were specifically asking to prevent that, and it was the reason for a rush hearing. They'll amend it again without that and with more focus on the LOIC.

Not a criminal case. In a civil case you only have to show it's likely to have happened. There is more than enough evidence based only on the public statements Kiffin has made a long with the actions made during the time. I'm not sure that it's dead. The biggest part of it was dealing with the pro players and LSU closed that at the last minute. It'll likely reappear without the reasons to rush and be more focused on the LOIC.
