Iran just entered the dry season, which lasts until September. This essentially makes an already difficult invasion of Iran impossible, largely because it turns the country's severe logistical, geographical, and environmental challenges into insurmountable obstacles.

Iran knows this and has done a masterful job of delaying U.S. action through what I call guerrilla diplomacy - they appear to have no had to play against our superior military but have somehow come out of this conflict (thus far) with an even better hand than before we invaded.

The Strait was always opened before the invasion. Now it’s closed, and we are bargaining to return to the status quo.

Any more threats of invasion are hollow now that we are in the dry season.

tell you what boy, why don't you stick to reading homoerotic literature to the pretend children you don't have and let the grown ups worry about this war.

For all militaries not named the United States that is....

Good. I don't think anyone wanted boots on the ground.

Are you saying it's too hot for our troops or something? I saw Prof Marandi say something about how it will get unbearable soon, but then I've seen other people make the point that with their terrain/geography, it's not quite as bad as the Gulf States.

Exactly. This was never going to be a 500,000 soldier/Marine invasion like Desert Storm. Any ground action will be extremely limited, targeting IRGC leadership nodes. Heavy raiding groups with light support- battalion level at most. The dry season isn't a factor.

But you may resume cheerleading for Iran at this time.

Quick question since we have apparently been treading water, and now are losing.

Is it easier to "bargain" with a hostile country that has a Navy, Air Force, Anti-aircraft system and money for military payroll than it is to bargain with a hostile country that does NOT have a Navy, Air Force, Anti-aircraft system and money for military payroll?

I remember the narrative of these yo-yos leading up to the invasion of Iraq. They were saying that once Ramadan started it was curtains for us because the entire Muslim world would rise up against such an outrage.

FYI, It’s the dry season in Arizona and I just went there and did fine - without air support.

Not advocating for a ground invasion but you should look up how many military installations we have in the Mojave and other deserts across the southwest, I think the US military can handle the dry climate just fine.

There’s a big difference in people being critical of the war (lots of us) and queers like OP blatantly cheering on Iran. He’s disgusting.
