Iran just entered the dry season, which lasts until September. This essentially makes an already difficult invasion of Iran impossible, largely because it turns the country's severe logistical, geographical, and environmental challenges into insurmountable obstacles.

Explain it to me like I'm dumb, but wouldn't it being dry make it easier? Would think rain, which means mud, would make it tougher to move through.

do not have the words to adequately express how breathtakingly stupid that statement is. The dry season makes an invasion impossible?!?
From a practical risk assessment standpoint, yes.

Iran does not have any cards in hand to play. We don’t need boots on the ground when their economy is in free fall and about to drop faster.

You bunch of dumb fricking Trump cucks can’t even admit when Trump severely fricked up.

Now the whole world, not just the US, is laughing at him and you. He turned the country and everyone who voted for him into the biggest clowns in the entire world. Congrats. So much winning

yeah yeah, I’m sure that’s how you and the rest of the limp-wristed liberal BETA males on Reddit feel. Unfortunately, like with everything in your life, people can’t take you seriously.

Unless the climate in Iran is completely different than Iraq I don't see how it will be a problem for the US military. Considering I was in a fighting hole in Iraq this time in 2003 but they could be a huge difference in the climate between the two countries.

Your point is taken, but Iraq doesn’t have extensive high mountain ranges and a population of 93 Million.

Iran is also 275% bigger in landmass than Iraq.

None of those things have anything to do with how dry it is going to be like what you posted all of those things you mentioned have been known as well.

I'm guessing you weren't alive in 1980.

Anyone who thinks blowing sand and dust storms wouldn't seriously impact logistics, especially with needed helicopter support during this time of year is hopelessly retarded.
You don't have to go back to 1980. We invaded Iraq in 2003 during the "sandstorm of the century." It slowed us down and we spent a couple hours a day blowing out our air filters, but we got the job done.

No, they've been preparing for a long time. The mosaic defense and the degree of independence each command has is something unlike other regional actors and more like Western militaries. Their goal is just survival. Their calculation is that they can survive the window of US interest in the region, given Trump's attention span.
