This game means so little that Chicken didn't even close the Rant and open the Score Board for it.
They should resign him but they definitely need to buy insurance on his contract in case he gets another concussion and has to retire. Then you would be able to get cap relief and not have to eat a bunch of dead money.

I love the Pelicans but I don't see how or why the league would expand and end up with teams in cities like New Orleans or Memphis that are just doormats with owners who don't look like they give a flying frick about anything.

Because all of the current teams would get to split the Franchise fee for the new teams. If a current team just moves, they don't receive any money for it.
When I was a kid in the 90's we would always find out which hotel the away teams were staying at in NOLA and would go hangout in the lobbies and try and get autographs. It was awesome as a kid seeing these larger than life heros in person.

Nicest was Jerry Rice. His family from Mississippi would come to those games and he would hangout in the lobby visiting with them. Even though he was spending time with his family, he was super nice and didn't mind young kids coming up and asking for his autograph. Just a very polite and nice guy.

Favre was a prick in the early 90's. He wasn't going to sign an autograph for two 10 year olds until his mom whom was visiting him from Mississippi scolded him and told him to "give those boys an autograph." It was cool to see that no matter how famous you are, your mom will still call you out on your BS.

But the biggest prick was Jim McMahon. At the time he was a washed up backup in Green Bay. 10 years removed from the 86 Bears. You'd think he would be happy that anyone even remembered who he was, but when people would ask for his autograph he would flip the card over and sign the back of it. I even saw him take one kids ball and turn it over to the side that the Commissioners signature is and signed on top of it.
If you watched the Tyson vs Paul fight and think they didn't have a no KO agreement then I have a bridge to sell you.

Tyson's legs were jelly and he couldn't move by the third round. Paul could have knocked him out with any decent punch and yet it went the distance to a decision.

These Paul fights are as legitimate of a contest as a WWE PLE. They are nothing more than Sports Entertainment. Anyone that bets on them is asking to lose their money.
Considering that fight last year against Tyson was more scripted than a WWE PLE, I wouldn't be surprised for this to go the distance and a decision. I don't think Joshua would agree to take an L but they might have a no KO agreement in place.

They didn't fire him because of an affair. They fired him because he was having an affair with a subordinate. A real estate agent would have been fair game.
Ideas like this are why I don't PE anywhere near my 401k.

He needs to drop some LBs. you can’t stay that big into old age. He’s 67…and has to be 300 pounds. Get on the shot and drop it Andy

300lbs? Nah, Andy has to be between 350 and pushing 400lbs. He definitely should look into the GLP-1 inhibitors and try to drop some major weight. Being that size at his age and the stress of being a head coach is a recipe for an early grave.
Didn't most of these guys already sign large extensions this season?
That basically what the offset is. If they paid him $7mil a year. LSU would cover the other $2mil a year. If Michigan really wants him, hopefully we can make deal like PSU did with Franklin and negotiate a 1 time buyout for $9mil or less.
Didn't he supposedly turn down the Bears last year? Why would he take the Giants job, this year?

This sounds like nothing more than his agent floating his name to get Notre Dame to give him a big raise and/or more resources.

Just being back the BCS system and take the top ranked 12 that the computer spits out. If you are a conference champion and not ranked in the top 12 then too bad, you should join a stronger conference.

Two Group of 5 teams in this year because of the top 5 conference champions is the real problem.
It was the #1 vs #2 teams in the country facing off in prime time. Of course it was the highest rated championship game.
I can't see him getting any major coaching jobs in the future but he would do great as a guy on a sports podcast that just shoots the shite. Barstool or one of the others ought be trying to get him. He obviously needs a job.
Yep, he definitely did it because he seat was warming up and he thought it would buy him some good will.

That will be interesting if they drop bama out for being in and loosing this game. Why play to get punished?

They would be held accountable for not showing up to play in the game. If they had put up a fight and lost a close game then it would be a different story.

With the size of his buyout, why would he willingly leave? They might have BK 2.0 on their hands.
They must have had to give him a large bag to get him to jump into this dumpster fire of a coaching search and recruiting class.
