I think we are on level 12d chess now or something

I think Trump thinks all people can be negotiated with for a better outcome for all. This just isn't so in some societies. His weakness may lie in thinking everyone thinks like him.

It’s actually pretty easy to claim that because Irans economy is bleeding and losing billions daily as this goes on.
Iran's gdp is under 350 billion, meaning on their best/worst day they're not bleeding a billion a day, let alone billions.

How long is it going to take to “starve them to death?”
We have a nuclear powered Navy and working supply lines. As long as it takes. Iran isn't developing nukes at the current pace. My kid is a Marine, I have no issues with this method of warfare. Ill pay the higher gas bill. Its a small price to pay to keep those psychopaths from becoming nuclear and keeping our boys from going in on the ground.
Unless you have a better plan? All ears.

Iran was days away from nuking us and invasion. Higher gas and global instability is a small price to pay for are freedoms.

Yeah - wars always go just as planned. What is fishing vs cutting bait?

We should be thanking Bibi for pulling the trigger when he did. If he had only waited a couple more days...........

Thanks for the overview. After reading your link, what is the issue?

Think China. Remember, there is a much bigger picture than Venezuela, the Panama Canal, Cuba, Greenland, and Iran.

This is simple siege warfare. I cannot believe no one can seem to wrap their minds around this ancient form of warfare. No soldiers are getting killed or injured. The enemy is getting starved to death. Obvious...
Agree. So why not come out and state that clearly, instead of swinging wildly between “we’re gonna bomb them into the Middle Ages” and “they are sweet and wonderful I am negotiating bigly”?
Just be honest instead of clownish

You do know that we’ve done nothing to stop overland routes into Iran, right? In fact, there are estimates that Iran is even increasing its overland transport of oil.
How long do you think it will take for the regime to crumble?

The modern version, maybe, where the "siege" is to make leadership uncomfortable. We're not about to conduct true Roman-style siege warfare on anybody unless we're in an existential crisis.

Is he now saying they can keep material and continue pursuing nuclear weapons?
Ohhh. Then not a fricking thing of any importance or significance had changed.
Carry on sky screaming fig.

Maybe he should do like a Democrat and sneak them uranium and send hundred of billions in cash to them. Then he could be a good president so your soft sheep arse can sleep at night without worrying about stressful headlines for a couple months.

Iran isn’t the most important issue for America, but it’s getting the most attention.
The reason? It’s the best tool the left has with which to snipe at Trump at present.
