The SOH gig is up. Iran is only hurting themselves.
If that was true why not continue the blockade? Why let up at all?
Trumps actions, especially recently seem to indicate that the SOH is the one thing that is non negotiable for the US. Nukes can be decided in a couple months, regime change might happen at some point, ballistic missiles can be negotiated. Every purported deal has the strait being opened immediately and every time Iran says it is shut down they get a response, whether that is Project Freedom and the other similar actions or some crazy Trump tweet talking about ending civilizations and praising allah. I fear that closure of the strait is a bigger deal than most on this board will admit.

Well you might want to get comfortable while you wait for the Iranian people surrender their country so they can turn out like Syria.

Who cares what France does or doesn’t do, they refused to give any assistance when we needed it.
They wisely sat out an Israeli war against Iran that only Trump was dumb enough to be talked into.

How in Jesus’s name are American Christian’s continuing to make apologies for this type of not just rhetoric, but open action?
Decades of propaganda.

If he is, why announce it to the world? Maybe everyone in the oil producing world knew it, but if not you just handed Iran key information.
Everyone paying attention to this conflict knew it, if you didn't you should reconsider how you get your news.

Say whatever you want, but fatigue is real.
And even if we destroyed Iran and Hezbollah there will be another enemy of Israel that we must defeat next.

I bitched about the war and happy it is done.
This is far from over. We are entangled with Israel and they cannot concede.

We either need to walk away or continue fighting but I can’t see any way to overturn the “ regime” without troops on the ground.
I tend to agree. This last week indicates that the blockade would not work in time and that was the last real hope to end this without an invasion.

Why is Iran’s support tolerated for Hezbollah? It seems odd to me that a sovereign nations peace treaty relies on the actions of 3rd party hostile rebels.
Because they are allies and will resist the US and Israelis trying to separate them so they can be conquered one at a time. Very basic stuff.

No we didn’t. We haven’t been to war full tilt since 1945.
Yep, if only we had carpet nuked Vietnam and finished it the proper way.

Why admit this publicly?
Doesn’t it just signal to Iran that they can get an even better deal if they hold out longer?
You can see pictures of the physical tanks easily enough, it is not something you can easily hide and the Iranians are not actually retarded goat frickers, at least not all of them.

Ben Gvir and his ilk are problems for Netanyahu and by extension Trump
This has all been obvious for a long time, just like the risks of taking on Iran. Quagmire.

We need to go Roman on them.
Trump is trying to do his Crassus impression as we speak. I suppose he could go lead the army himself to really sell it but he is an old man.

So it’s Israel’s fault that they are being fired upon ?

They could leave Lebanon if they don't want to be fired upon. If they retreated into their own country and were still being fired upon you might have a point.
