Sounds like trying to stop the spread of communism in Vietnam and to the ends of the earth.
That worked out really well.
And look what happens when we don't fight communism, they win elections.
You auburn fricks sure are dumb.
Invite muslims in and they do what? Win elections.
I suggest you listen to Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Being in denial won't save you.

Can you give me a good reason for us to be fighting this war?
Regardless of this war, the OP is correct. Americans really don’t have the stomach for seeing things through to the end. They can sprint, but don’t ask them to stick it out.
And I’m not in favor of any of this really, or might I say I’m not in favor of going halfway into any engagement, of handcuffing yourself from all out victory. You either go all in and crush them completely or you don’t engage at all.

You can kill a physical body.
You cannot kill an ideology.
You cannot kill an ideology.

Spending $40 billion only to end up begging the enemy for a deal will cause Americans to not support it.
Most would like to see $40 billion spent to help our lives at home.
This is the issue more than anything.
We spend tens of billions of dollars bombing a Middle Eastern country and destroying their infrastructure with the hope of a regime change.
We then get a temporary regime change and spend tens of billions of dollars rebuilding the infrastructure (that we previously destroyed) for the new regime.
The new regime eventually gets overtaken through elections because the people there don’t really want change and we’re back at square one.
Rinse and repeat.
Meanwhile, American infrastructure is crumbling all over the country and Americans have to battle through skyrocketing costs of everything due to inflation.

Our perpetual wars in the Middle East drive more Muslims to the West you idiot. We invade, destroy, destabilize, and then let them in as "refugees". Somalis, Afghans, Iraqis, Syrians, it happens over and over.
People living in an oppressive shithole will take any excuse to go some place better. The EU invited them not as refugees, but as labor. They got enemies of Western culture who were incompatible parasites instead.

Eric Metaxas' new Book "Revolution" will likely lay the rationale for the only war that will truly determine this Nation's fate. The coming 'Civil War' within our own Borders, to determine which Ideology (Socialist v Capitalist) holds forma power. You have to have your head in the sand not to see this coming.

China already has nukes. Shall we deploy the fleet and set the course to Shanghai? I assume your platoon will be the first to storm the beaches, right?
China understands MAD and has more to lose.
Iran does not understand MAD and has much less to lose.
Surely you can see the difference.

Need to conquer Iran for that
You willing to commit your sons for that?
What else should I "commit" my adult son or any adult for that matter to do?

How do you get public support for war?
You get support by:
Making the case for war, publicly stating why it’s necessary, and convincing the American public.
Getting Congressional approval for a war declaration and for funding.

Military recruiting is at an all time high. You must not think much.
Job market is arse. Nowhere to go except the military or work at a dead end fast food joint.
