Ever since Vietnam, our adversaries know they have willing allies in the American media and soft headed Left to win the PR battle before the first salvos end. Add to that social media and it is even worse.

Flag draped coffins are never a good thing and certainly not a desired outcome, but to win wars and defeat enemies lives have to be lost on your side and a lot more of your enemy have to be killed.

Americans just don't have the stomach for it.

Can you give me a good reason for us to be fighting this war?

I don't think Americans like sending our young adults to foreign countries to fight proxy wars which have no clear objective.

The Iranian constitution tasks the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) with an ideological mission of jihad to expand God’s sovereignty worldwide.

Military recruiting is at an all time high. You must not think much.

I think most Americans haven't supported war because they haven't felt a compelling reason to support one. Initially, the GWOT had like 85-90% approval. Americans don't support wars they don't believe in and don't believe matter and once you lose them, they don't tend to come back to your side of things.

That's a reason to go to war?

Especially when they benefit other countries more than their own.

The government needs to explain why the wars they want waged are worth dying for.

Yes, a global jihad to kill all non Muslims is a reason.

This didn't start this year btw.

I wouldn't say the American public has lost it's will to fight wars. What most have lost is the stomach to do what it takes to win wars like the ones we have been involved in over the last 20 years. The things that need to be done to defeat an ideology is vastly different from the things needed to be done to simply defeat a country.

How many kids you got in uniform that would be right in the middle of the action?

There are many reasons why recruitment increased recently. I seriously doubt that securing the Strait of Hormuz is one of them.

Yet Iran had zero offensive capability. No way at all to move massive amounts of troops and equipment.

Not interested in living in a world where the largest state sponsor of terrorism has a nuclear weapon.

Then we should, as a people, grow some balls and tell our government to stop sheltering them.

They are coming here because of our wars over there.

When the American people are called to defend THEIR nation and THEIR interests, they have and will be there. Vietnam, the Middle East... were nothing but power games by those who would never be anywhere near the fighting. Nor would their loved ones.

Show the American people the "inarguable proof" of Iran's nearly having nuclear weapons and plans to turn them on our country and you'd have support. Too many, however, remember the LIES of Dubya and the decades of war that followed.

How about you? You signed up and ready to go?
