Short answer is yes. I say this because my first cousin shot and killed, then burned their house down on top of my aunt, uncle and cousin in 1986 (Ashdown). He's alive today in prison because the rest of my family wouldn't kill him by our Granny's demand. She wouldn't have it. And my uncles took handguns to the courtroom to finish it out of pure sadness. She shook them off and that was that. That's her mercy, and we all respected her decision. I have one uncle still alive and he actually remains thankful to this day no one else went to jail having killed him. He was the youngest and almost did it.

Some here are old enough to remember Darlie Routier. That name resonates w Texans 30 years ago. Killed her 2 sons out of spite for her husband. She was hated in Texas and sentenced to death.

It was a glorious decade to be between 10 and 20 years old. Absolutely incredible. But it had its troubles. Let's just take mortgage interest rates as an an example. People would riot today :lol: Gas lines? And people were cordial while sitting in them. Countless other issues surrounded our parents but they kicked arse and moved on.
