That was an outrage committed by the Biden administration. And we have means of redress under the law.
This method creates a kitty for Trump to reward his supporters. That’s an awful precedent. Our government was not set up for the executive department to judge and redress grievances; that is supposed to be the judicial department. So instead of a non-partisan judicial approach, Trump has orchestrated a partisan fueled payoff of his supporters.

But it is in certain instances like this one. Congress gave the DOJ the power to award settlements against the government in 1956 with the judgment fund act. Congress amended it in 1977 to remove the monitary caps of $100k. This falls directly under that act. Read up on the 8 years of Obama and see how many times it was used and for how ridiculous it was awarded too. The same for bidens years. His last act while in office was to get $20b awarded to left leaning causes. 1 being $6b to Stacy abrams foundation to get eco friendly refrigerators to those who need it. How many refrigerators do you think they actually issued out?
