Well it had a lot to do with me signing, I was guarantied being stationed in Germany as my first assignment, your reason for serving and mine are likely the same, the intricate details my differ, when i joined the main concern was the cold war with the Soviet Union, yea I'm getting old.

Bad idea, one of the incentives to joing the military is serving over seas, getting to travel and see the world, now we will have to cram all of our enlisted onto US located bases causing over crowding and other problems. Plus what will be the cost of such a move.
