"NEW: Situation at the airport is “tenuous” and consideration is being given to pulling all Americans out and leaving the Afghans behind. That decision has not been made but it is on the table and will need to be addressed if Us can’t get control of the airport. (Martin/Ruffini)"

We can't even get our idiot president to come out and say anything. Trump would have tweeted and got on tv the second this all started happening and said, let our people out safely or we are going to retaliate swiftly, which is exactly what he did with Iran, and they believed him.

Bloodlust and lack of a command structure. The NVA at least was a professional army that could coordinate itself to not take Saigon until we left. I'm not sure the Taliban grunts on the ground in Kabul are thinking about the bigger picture.
