So, in essence, these protesters broke into a gated area and were acting in a threatening manner...breaking down a gate in a mob fashion is threatening right off the top, not even counting the individual threats...and you, as a homeowner and husband are supposed to sit back and eschew your protection for your domain/wife?

bullshite! The only repercussions one should have to face in that situation is having buying more ammo to replace what you used had the protesters tried to attack you.

By what you said, I can guarantee you are not in the same situation this couple was in and it's really easy to type out the crap you did when you aren't the one being threatened. Actually, your post is absurd to the point of my not knowing if I am responding to a troll.

That was a lot of words. In general, what I said is in most instances, if you walk around flagging people with your finger on the trigger and they don't have a weapon pointed at you, you're generally not gonna have a good time

sitting outside with the guns without pointing them would have accomplished the same thing, without the forthcoming criminal and civil rights investigations

Is she totally delusional? It's a private, gated subdivision. You don't have a first amendment right to protest on private property much less destroy private property to gain access. Several laws broken right there. Also, it's not against the law to defend your property or your person. No shots were fired and warnings were given. To that end what are the homeowners supposed to think when everything you see has been breaking into property, looting, violence, assaults, murder, etc. by the same organized protesters. You want to see a real stand, let them try that in Livingston Parish!

We’re not talking most instances. We’re talking about a very specific instance. And you’re talking out your arse.

But we were told the fence looked "undamaged" according to the Fox article.

peaceful protestors

Has she addressed why "peaceful protestors" destroyed private property and broke through an iron security gate to gain access to a gated neighborhood?

I have a problem with their obnoxious lack of care or any knowledge of how to handle a firearm.

They both need training/refresher training on firearm ready positions, muzzle awareness/"Rule #1", etc.

Having said that, I support their right to be armed in their own self-defense (especially in this environment where the authorities are increasingly leaving the peaceful and law-abiding to mercy of the mob).

IT WAS A PRIVATE STREET... THEY WERE STANDING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY... THEY BROKE DOWN A LOCKED GATE IN ORDER TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE PRIVATE STREET...

Read it really slow... Damn, Chicken needs to put a fricking crayon font in...
I had to laugh.

Now you see how it feels to talk to you most of the time.

She characterized people telling criminals to leave private property as an “assault.”

And criminals as “peaceful protesters.”

Not even after they break down your gate?

Interesting take.

“Violent assault”. GTFO with that lie.

“Any attempt to chill it through intimidation or threat of deadly force”

This women is a dumbass. They didn’t try to stop the protestors for speaking. They just let them know that they would protect their property.

Total BS Democrat view point.

And those saying she demonstrated poor gun safety... This wasn’t a show and tell class. This was real life thugs threatening their property and life. At times mere feet away from her. She had every right to stand their with her finger on the trigger ready to go. If you don’t want to possibly get shot, don’t trespass and threaten people. Pretty simple concept.

more specifically, a trespassing mob standing in the private street making death threats.

Apparently there have been too many words for you to digest as you continue with your incorrect and debunked arguments.

If that was the front gate to her home or private street, that DA would be singing a different tune.

See Destroya when protesters had the audacity to protest outside her home. She was pissed.
