He is JWC, Jewish When Convenient. I would say a majority of Hollywood elite are Agnostic, Atheist, or downright Satanic. They tried to exile Mel Gibson because he said antisemitic things, but hide/turn a blind eye to the pedophiles, predators, and groomers surrounding them.

"Christians can't answer this one question!"

Really sad to see Spielberg lowering himself to clickbait titles.

Christians do it too. Everyone does it. I just ignore the YT videos/shorts or other articles that have titles like these.

I'll be ignoring this movie as well.

Faith in what that we were monkeys? Won’t someone question why the evolution of mankind from monkeys somehow stopped and gorillas, baboons, chimps, spider monkeys, orangutans etc never got their human credentials?

He’s speaking about the events in the movie not real life. Jeez, Orson Welles much? The movie deals with the idea of Christians second guessing.

Watching the video this is true, but you can't blame Christians, who's faith is attacked daily even on here, to take a defensive position from the outset. And look, regardless of that - if aliens did exist - SOME Christians would definitely question their beliefs. It's a fine conversation, to jump into.

However, intent of director/author and what they are trying to communicate with a move like this is super delicate. If Spielberg makes a film where he supports questioning, points the questioning towards a particular outcome, and uses the language of the film to suggest SOMETHING about their faith in this event, etc. then the OP point does stand.

If he takes the honest, real world, non-partisan approach and let's people question without really forcing a lean in a particular way, maybe he can encourage the right kind of conversation.

It just doesn't seem modern Hollywood takes the non-partisan approach anymore. I think that's what you see a reaction to in this thread. It doesn't feel like Hollywood wants to look at Christians realistically or holistically. Old Hollywood, and even his films, would make positive references to Chistianity, and motions to God, capital 'G.'

Because Christians are the only one that will let him attack their Faith. The Muzzies will behead him if he attacks their faith.

From the clip, Spielberg never says what is being claimed in the OP. The film is positing what the reaction would be if the events occurred in real life.

This is the same guy who has already directed multiple films about alien encounters, as well as one about the power of the Holy Grail, and one about a guardian angel. This seems like nothingburger rage-bait to me.

You pretty much miss Spielberg's point.

Ha ha. I was “second guessing “ my Faith way before I chose to adopt it.

Albeit there are manifold and particular beliefs re Faith that will be argued till Jesus clears the table with irrefutable Truth. If Spielburg’s art offers ideas towards that end, good work. “Prove all things”. Though I suspect that his intent is to undermine belief that Jesus Christ is one third of the Triune Godhead, as he has likely gone DEI all in.
