Kennedy is one of them.

Senate GOPe are the most feckless worthless people on the planet.

On Sunday, Republican Sen. John Kennedy stressed that the Senate GOP's campaign arm — the National Republican Senatorial Committee — didn't have any money budgeted to protect the Texas Senate seat as Republicans find themselves fighting off a number of credible Democratic challenges.
quote:
"We in the senate don't have the money budgeted for Texas. We need help from the president," Kennedy told The Sunday Briefing on Fox News.

"The president says he has $850 million in his campaign accounts. That's a lot of jack. I'm hoping that the president's gonna spend $100 or $200 million in Texas. But he hasn't committed to it yet," Kennedy said. "But in the meantime, we've got a race, and I'm not going to play-act and say that we don't." Fox's interviews with Paxton and Kennedy came as the network highlighted the massive advantage Talarico currently has over Paxton in available cash, which Paxton credited to the expensive runoff against Cornyn.

John Kennedy is a Democrat who changed parties because it was the politically expedient thing to do at the time as Louisiana turned red.
He is a uniparty wolf in sheep’s clothing who is good at one liners and putting on a show. He’s got a lot of people fooled.

The title of the thread is misleading, anyway. They don't seem to have the money and are asking Trump to help.

OK, playing Devil’s advocate.
Do you spend money you didn’t budget in Texas OR do you spend it where it’s needed in Michigan, Maine, and North Carolina? Three seats or one?

The 2024 presidential election was the second most expensive since at least 1998. In total, $5.5 billion dollars was spent on the race by presidential candidates, political parties and independent interest groups trying to influence federal elections, according to Open Secrets. Adjusted for inflation, that's $2.2 billion less than the 2020 race, the most expensive on record. When congressional races are factored in, the cost of 2024 campaigns jumps to $15.9 billion.

They are ALL bought and paid for. It’s astounding, but there’s also no realistic fix either. Just try and pull the lever for whomever will steal the least from the taxpayers and will intrude the least into our lives.

Exactly this.
They didn’t budget because TX should be a safe seat for the GOP. They’ve budgeted to go after toss-ups or the possible chance to flip a blue Senate seat to red.
Someone like James Talarico shouldn’t stand a chance in Texas. It’s a safe red seat, and the GOP candidate, whomever it is, should be able to keep it that way.

Senators are POTUS wannabes. This country was screwed the day we gave the election of a US Senator over to the citizens. It should have always remained in the State legislative body!!
Time to start disparaging all Senators who support Talarico over Paxton.

They have the $, they don't like Paxton but, loved the puppet cornyn.
Maybe they want to lose in Texas, it's always easier to blame than to lead.

Does a lot of $ really matter? Didn't Democrats spend a lot more than Republicans for the Beto experiment? As someone that doesn't pay too much attention to all of this, does having more $ really influence the voting?

All the more reason to vote for Paxton.

When you look at the legislative accomplishments of this congress yeah, it makes a lot of sense that they'd want to get back to not leading and griping about the culture war rather than the debt/inflation/ai job loss/you name it
