Dan Patrick, acting under his authority as Lt. Gov and presiding officer of the Texas State Senate as defined by the rules of the state Constitution. ushered the impeachment through the State Senate, which had a 17-14 advantage over the Dems, and even with paxtons wife, who is a State Senator, the results were never ever in doubt.
It wasn't so much that the fix was in as that the numbers being what they were and are an actual impeachment was never going to happen and all of this was done for theater to try to get these clouds hanging over Paxton's head eliminated
The impeachment hearings that took place in the House were managed by gay aggie little pretend conservative named Brisco Cain, who's a shite lawyer
All arranged bought and paid for by Dunn the West Texas oilman who pushed vouchers
