How out of touch do you have to be to think that TD isn’t vulnerable to paid influence operations?

Nope. Just pointing out punk an arse bitch doing punk arse bitch stuff. You really need to get over your Caucasian derangement syndrome. Maybe go find yourself a good mudshark. Since it’s Saturday, start at Walmart.

How stupid do you have to be to believe that exists here in any material quantity?

As a "leftist", I don't get sad or happy over what happens in the Oscar's.
I will root for the sequel to "Alita: Battle Angel" when it gets made.
I heard The Odyssey had great special effects so I will probably try to see it.

I quit the Academy Awards when something called Shasheen Little Feather showed up to accept the Oscar for best actor on behalf of that gypsy dildo Marlon Brando.

Went to see it tonight. Thought it was well done.

I don't keep up with modern movies so lots of ya'll may know this. But your movie cannot be nominated for an Oscar unless it meets the quotas in casting. They require a certain number of blacks and females in lead roles
Helen of Troy, check. POC.
Achilles. check. A 5' nothing 90 lb female playing Achilles.
Odysseus, check. Matt Damon.

The film wasn't woke in really any capacity. You can make the argument that some casting choices were.
And those casting choices were so minor that conservatives would be FAR better off trying to commander this movie from a social commentary standpoint than fighting it.
Pages characters role is one that is weak and small and gets tricked by the “strong nobles” and life sacrificed for an unjust immoral cause.
Maybe it’s ironic coincidence that Nolan cast a post op transgender or maybe it’s subtle conservative commentary.
Either way conservatives should co opt this.

gotta go bak and read again - been a long time - movie in this era?? - hell no.
" Come my friends - 'tis time to seek a newer world.
Push off!!
and seated well in order, smite the sounding furrows, for my mission holds to sail beyond the sunset, and the baths of all the western stars until I die.
It may be the gulfs will wash us down - it may be we reach the Happy Isles and meet the great Achilles, whom we all knew.
Though we are not now that strength that once moved mountains and men, that which we are, we are -
One equal part of heroic heart, made weak by fate and time -
but strong in will to search, to seek, to find -
But not to yield."

name one suspected conservative 'paid influence' operator =
don't waste time on the 2-bit liberal/communist 'influencers' - doubt they get much robust response the sponsors like on here

Haven’t watched the Oscars in over 20 years. I don’t need someone that is told what to say for a living telling me that they know more about life than I do.
Posted on 7/18/26 at 9:28 pm to Geekboy
It was horrible. I didn’t want to go and it was worse than I excepted.

Award shows are largely self congratulatory circle jerks, we should not care what people that live with their heads up their arse think

They thought they had an Oscar winner with Emilia Pérez. Then it turned out to lead actor was a little too much a fan of the Austrian artist.
Now fully expect Ellen Page to be nominated for supporting actor.
