Exactly where did I say I disagreed with what he was doing? I dont care what motivates him as long as he does what I want. But I believe sticking it to the Dems is why he did it. Otherwise he would have ramped up in the first term in the same way.
Subtlety, complexity and various shades of issues are not a strong point for this board.

I firmly believe that had the left simply given Trump his wall in 2016 you would not be seeing the sweeping ICE operations you see today.
Trump was only interested in the heavy duty criminal guys back then. Had he not had to fight tooth and nail for wall construction and received the praise he was due for it, then I believe he would have left the "normal" folks alone for the most part.
So it was a bit of "fool around and find out" for the left. They ticked him off and he made them pay.

That was my point. The OP doesnt seem to realize that the Muslims (like another religious group) believe they are right and good. They also know that short term victory is not total victory and short term loss is not total loss.

In gentler, more unified times in this country, there was no higher praise for an elected official than that he was "pragmatic". That meant that he was able to work with those he had disagreements with to reach a solution to a problem. He was not so entrenched in ideology that reasonable compromise was impossible.
Now the standard seems to be how ideologically pure and rigid you are. Graham was a pragmatist in many ways and those on the post-neocon right never trusted him. Fetterman for all his weirdness is a pragmatist Dem and the left despises him.
Is the hate deserved? Is ideological purity the way to go?

My favorite show when I was a kid. Fulfilled a bucket list item by visiting "Station 51" when I was in LA a few years ago.
