Of course. This has to be just more skilled western propaganda, loaded with lies.
The strict adherence to the rules of engagement by the Bolshevik during war, and their innate kindness and humanity especially exemplified during peacetime are well established - especially to their own people.
Look at Czar Nicholas and his family.
The fire bombings of their own citizens who refused to have their farms collectivized.
The pogroms and other similar campaigns that resulted in mass graves of their own people.
Or the little devotee/admirer of Lenin who had his FSB planting explosive devices among his own people so he could blame the carnage on the Chechens, which was crafted to cause outrage among the citizenry; in his mind, affording him license to resume the bombing of Chechnya.
Just an oversight on their part that allowed some Russian townspeople to catch them in the act. Of course to be denied by Russian leaders, and called "a military exercise."
It was also just hearsay or outright lies that during their war in Afghanistan they were dropping explosive devices that looked like little toys so they would explode when handled.
The idea being to maim and cripple the children now so they wouldn't have to fight them again in 10 years.
The characteristic humanity and ethics of the doctrinaire Bolshevik are indeed impressive.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want the U.S. involved in this war, but if we were, the Russians wouldn't inflict 1:1 casualties against us. We would establish air superiority almost immediately, then have our way with the Russians from the skies. This is actually the type of warfare our military was built for. It's already a virtual stalemate between Russia and Ukraine with poorly trained Ukraininan forces. If you add NATO air assets and Armored Cavalry to that equation, the balance shifts mightily.

NATO becoming involved ups the risk of nuclear war many times over. The pitiful performance by Russia in Ukraine means it would take NATO forces less than a week to be marching throught the Kremlin gates. That would leave Putin one option, and that's nuclear.

Yep the US and Western Europe is using the Ukraine war as an opportunity to offload 20+ year old equipment. Then of course they'll have to buy new equipment to replace it...

Absolutely agree, but I was just responding to the assertion that there would be 1:1 casualties in a Russia vs. Ukraine+NATO scenario. NATO would absolutely CRUSH Russia in conventional warfare.
