Saban and Bryant could not have existed in today’s landscape where players are basically co-equal partners to coaches and can walk and go play for someone else if you piss them off and coaches have zero recourse.

Have some of you people literally been in a cave the last couple of years since the Supreme Court decision and missed how much this s**t has changed?

I said in another thread that our fan base lives in a bubble, I think it’s a damn time warp.
I believe BamaBravesPackers' post adequately replied to your post regarding being afraid to display toughness from the coaches.
Looking even closer to home, Coach Oats should be an excellent example of what BamaBravesPackers and I are talking about.

That first step should be making some staff changes for the OL, strength and conditioning and rb's coach. He's had some absolute stinkers his first two years here so obviously he should know something isn't working. It's up to him to figure it out. Saban, early in his career, had some absolute beatdowns at MSU and LSU, but he eventually got it figured out and became the goat because of it.

I'm not gonna give up on him yet, but last night was completely unacceptable (along with the uga game). I still think you have to give him time to get his own recruited qb and ol in there for the season before pulling the trigger and firing him.

The guy right now is flawed as shite as head coach, but his record as a head coach is still better than probably 95% of other coaches out there right now. And he's only been doing it for 6 seasons. It tells me the potential is there, but it's up to him to get his current issues fixed and turn that potential into greatness.
It's next to impossible to ask a person to completely reverse their personality, and that's what DeBoer would have to do.

He looked confused, multiple times. His first redzone appearance was him bouncing around reads instead of taking his time.

He’s got more zip on the ball but by no means did I get the sense he was better mentally.

If we want to push the ball, we need to actually call plays to push the ball. Not call screens and 0 yard runs nonstop like we did for over half of our plays
What do you expect from a kid with NO big game experience?
"Pushing" the ball requires an OL that can give QBs time to let his receives get into their routes. Neither QB was afforded that.

You still have to have a coach who isn’t soft as a baby turd and doesn’t get ran off the field by his own player like a bitch arse pussy. You still have to have coaching that stresses fundamentals and actually, well, coaches and prepares his team to play the game.
Quite true....and DISCIPLINE!
If you AND your coaches aren't willing to chew a player's arse off when necessary, you're gonna have these problems. Just ask coaches Saban & Bryant.

We really don't need any receiver transfers

RW - Brooks - Derek Meadows- then Morgan/Hale/MBakwe

This happens when your QB won't, or can't throw down field. I realize that our pathetic OL doesn't give QBs enough time to throw deep often, but we don't even try when we do get enough time.

Dukes by a mile.
Second all times to my mother's home made.

:bwahaha:
So you're saying that they may get into the Final Four, huh?
:dope:
The excuses have started early this playoff season.
"One thing is for sure: Midwest whites are athletically superior to southern whites".
We've got us a "geographical bigot"! Refreshing after reading all that racism nonsense every day.
I'm an SEC pride guy. Having a boss conference gets TV, bowl, national ranking preference and a ton of money for ALL SEC teams. It takes a shallow-minded, inbred not to realize that.
Yeah...because of the # of quality RBs on their roster. :dope:

PS- did I mention the SUPER blocking OL we've got? :bwahaha:

An excellent hire!
The man's had solid teams during his time at Utah, and he'll bring stability and maturity to the program.

How can a team of our caliber not have elite kickers at both positions? :dunno:

Oklahoma beat Alabama in:

Total yards 362 - 260

Time of possession 33 - 26

Total plays 75 - 54

First Downs 18 - 12

Third down conversions - Okla was 7 - 18 Bama was 2 - 12
Throw in the turnover numbers and think real hard back to their regular season game.
Kinda scary!

Y'all drive over around San Pedro & 6th St, find your 1st group of locals, stop and get out of your car, and ask, What's shaking around here, Homes?"

Ever hear a very funny joke, and you keep thinking about it, laughing and telling it to others?

Thanks!
Honorable posters are few and far between around here.

Do A&M folks not realize that their horns down signs have NOTHING to do with any other team than Texas?
They're either too stupid to understand the sign, or have incurable Texas Derangement Syndrome.....
:bwahaha:
How many little brothers does Texas have? They've got a little LSU toward The Tide in'em.

I'm no Bama fan but I'm glad they got in; it sets a precedent that the SEC Championship game won't punish you. That is a good thing for the whole conference because any of us could be in that situation
You're correct, but, unfortunately it seems that the majority of the envy minions are too simple minded to realize that, any good fortune that comes the SECs way thru a benefit of another SEC school, is a good thing for ALL the SEC schools.
