Ron’s polls are crashing because of his unpopular stance on social security.

Social Security and Medicare are already obliterated.

DeSantis is trying to save them, unlike Trump who is perfectly willing (as we saw during Covid) to write checks the future can’t cash to maintain his voting demographics.

His poll numbers have remained unchanged for the most part.

His RCP average has remained virtually identical since he announced.

The “crashing poll numbers” is an invention of the Trump team to project that reality.

As usual, you’re a scumbag.

The vast majority of Republicans agree with Trump on this issue but the bits will say he’s “unelectable”.

He’s just quoting Trump, so it’s not lying.

Those pesky polls that oversample former Trump donors.

You think with a balanced budget we will pay off 35 trillion in debt? Maybe by year 5000 lmao.

We are past the point of no return. We are better off inflating the debt and keeping the military and navy strong so we control economic policy around the world. Never pay the money back because all commodities are traded in our currency.

If/when the dollar collapses so does this country. Spending money is not placing a burden on future generations, the insurmountable burden is already there.

I'm totally shocked that your opinion is just a regurgitation of a Trump truth social post. You're usually such an independent free thinker with fresh ground breaking analysis.

Do you believe that to be the position of the Trump economic team? Would they admit to that position?

Who would bear the burden of such a plan?

Eh, a lot of them have admitted that they're populists, not conservatives. Not all, but a lot.

They’re perfectly happy to jettison conservatism for Trumpism. And they don’t even need to know what Trumpism is. Just that Trump is leading it.
