Harris has 67,799,770
Trump 72,506,706 and counting

But where are the other 5 million red votes?

I don't understand the claim.
With one exception, Democratic turnout has statistically plateaued since Obama’s 2nd term while Republican turnout since that time has grown every election. What happened to all the voters who materialized in 2020? Where did they come from in 2020 and where did they go in 2024?

So looking back…2008 was also probably mostly fiction

Many of those votes may yet to be tallied as vote totals are still being counted by the states.
The same of course applies to Kamala’s final vote tally in 2024.
Yet while Trump may indeed close in or possibly surpass his 2020 popular vote totals, it is statistically impossible for Kamala to close in on the 15 million +/- popular vote gap that exists between her 2024 campaign and Biden’s 2020 campaign.

In 2020, the algorithm for Biden's vote count was always going to be "Trump + X%." Biden's 81m was a function of Trump's 74m, nothing more. However popular Trump was, Biden was going to be X% more popular.
The problem is the overcooked it and the number turned out to be outrageous/unbelievable. Since they had media cover, not only did they not have to answer the obvious question, they even spun it into a positive - "most votes ever = a mandate from the people", etc.

Now that the dust has settled and Trump has won the election, I hope everyone realizes it is all in good fun. Fun & games aside, there is a larger point here that needs to emphasized.
The MAGA base was not built on blind loyalty to Trump but a recognition of Trump’s unique vision of building a governing coalition that would transform the Republican Party. The GOP is now not only the party of — dare I say joy? — but a party of diverse political, economic and racial demographics.
As the numbers above indicate, Trump indeed has expanded the GOP’s base and built a dynamic coalition from a stagnant if not dying Republican Party. Now that this MAGA coalition has been built, other MAGA enthusiasts can maintain it.
J.D. Vance is a good pick for that task. Yet no one but Trump could have built it: NO ONE.

15 to ~20 million people disappeared. The 2024 election killed more people than Hitler.
I might make a shirt out of that!! Lol

It’s not 20 M removed. Commiefornia hasn’t finished counting.
In the end, it will be eerily the same vote count, but an around 5 M swap from Blue to Red

Yeah there will be a big shift due to DEM enthusiasm and there will be big DEM losses in the super blue states (where no cheating should have occurred in 2020).
An online meme developed around incomplete data and people are going to look silly for doing spreading it.

Every state had higher turnout in 2020 compared to 2016. Even states that don't matter like Vermont, Louisiana and Idaho.
And?

That’s doubtful.

Any objective discerning citizen already knows this and knows why.
The 20 million illegal mail-in votes is the answer which were clearly violation based on the Constitution which specifies that all election law must be passed by a vote of respective state legislatures.
Several of the contested states ( I can speak for Georgia for sure) changed voting rules on the fly to allow mass main-in ballots that were not verified as legitimate.

C’mon. You can’t expect voter turnout to always be 125% in blue precincts. That’s just unrealistic.

While it’s true that the vote count of the 2024 presidential election as of Wednesday afternoon is nearly 20 million votes shy of the total vote for the 2020 presidential election, that’s because many states, most of which aren’t swing states, are still counting millions of ballots.
Using the current AP estimate of the percent of votes counted, VERIFY found that 20 of the 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., still have more than 16.2 million ballots left to be counted as of Wednesday afternoon.
At the time of VERIFY’s count, there were 16.7 million fewer votes than the final total cast for Biden and Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) says 158,429,631 votes were cast for president in 2020. It’ll be some time before we get the official numbers, but the University of Florida’s Election Lab estimates that just about that number of ballots will again be counted in 2024.

I mentioned above the count was ongoing. Yet all those votes won’t necessarily go for Kamala. Despite being overwhelmingly blue, California is such a populous state, it registered more Trump votes in 2020 than the battleground states of North Carolina and Georgia combined.

More folks voted in Georgia on Tuesday than in 2020.

No doubt about it. Twenty million votes ... from ghosts that never existed.
Somebody needs to find the long list of bellwether indicators for presidential elections for the lat 100 yrs that were all overridden in 2020 and see if they returned to normal this time.
