What would be his perfect qualifications?
Bronze medal? Served in Iraq? Served in Afghanistan? Princeton Degree? Harvard Degree?
I think all of those will be just fine. Big Pete finna eat

Cheesy tattoos and and a butter-face with dollar store fake tits is supposed to impress us? This is one of the most important jobs on the planet.
I’m concerned that he’s for more war than we’ve grown to like. After watching some more content on him, bombing things seems to be his answer to most issues. I want to hear more on his stance with Israel. There’s a right and a wrong way to be pro-Israel, and they will exploit the shite out of people who support them the wrong way.

Personally, I'd be proud of it and I would probably give him a high five or at least a "my man" compliment.
You’d be proud of being on your third marriage in your 40s because you’re a serial cheater?
Ok, I guess.

You do realize SecDef 's don't decide whether we go to war, right?
They're supposed to make sure we win the ones we do get in. That requires a bit of a fighting mentality.

From what I have seen he's all about killing terrorists and completely against regime change.
I'm good with that.

Terrible pick, this guy was barely in the military, that position should go to someone high in the ranks. I'm a patriot too, should i be considered? of course not!

This may be one that doesn’t happen.
Can’t see how this pick is good at all.

JFC, that isn’t his job as Sec Def. He may make suggestions but I guarantee he isn’t like Liz Cheney. He served as a grunt and knows what it means to go in harms way. As Sec Def he is responsible for ensuring the forces are ready and relationship building with our Allies.

I really like Pete and been a fan of his for years, since Trump won the first time and he was out with Americans at diners interviewing them…and he was always a huge support of his brother in arms, donating time and money to veteran causes, but I don’t think he will get confirmed in the Senate. Not enough military and strategy background, some skeletons in the closet and a lot of Senators flat out hate Foxnews

You seriously took the time to type this out? I mean the definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Who cares about the book itself
My point is, his whole dedication right now is fixing recruiting and culture in the military
It isn't some random guy off the street
Many SoDs did not serve...and of those that did, very few were 3 star generals or higher
That's why it's a political appointment and not a military position

Yeah Id bet big this pick gets rejected…probably looking at Joni Ernst to the rescue
