In all the chaos Vance shows that genuine side of trying to bridge a gap. He relates to the people and wants to unite.
Trump cant do this type public speaking, its not his nature, but in this type situation we need someone to speak to the people and unite!!!. Vance was reared that way, and can relate. Reagan was a great uniter with an eloquent speaking ability, and would get right down to the issue. IMO Vance will make a great President !!
