False. You really don't understand politics at all.

See the 2020 plan Democrats ran against Sanders for benefit of Biden for a clue.

If it was only DeSantis and Trump in the primary, what do you think the polls would look like right now?

Exactly what happens when anyone from the gop is elected to anything. You’re TDS is the only reason you believe its unique to trump.

He should be sitting on the sideline like a 800lb gorilla for 2028, still a young man in his 40s.

That was the original plan….DeSantis listened to the Rs in the DC Uniparty and was convinced Trump was vulnerable due to the Faux J6 Insurrection…..dude should have immediately announced he was supporting Trump and all would still be good for Ronnie baw.

Yes.

It’s not a guess. Everybody knows why Christie is in the race. Same with Pence. Same with Hutchinson.

Desantis used to have plausible deniability because he was polling as a possibility. I saw through that. But now, I’ve read a few Desantis supporters admit he has zero chance of winning.

So it's best for America and patriotic for Biden to win the general, should DeSantis win the Republican primary?

Again, you prove my point. You are incapable of a thought/idea that runs counter to your contrived "reality".

It’s equivalent, IMO. But that’s not the point. Trump brought about 10M voters that otherwise would NEVER have voted Republican. Desantis will never get those votes. I’ve explained this to you many times. You made bad assumptions when you assumed winning the primary meant Desantis was at 75M. He’s probably at 60-65M.

I’ve been right about this primary from day 1. I’m still right. You have shifted from Desantis will win, to Desantis can still win, to Desantis can’t win but he still needs to be in the race.

You are only making that case to try and explain why a guy that can’t win is still running.

I think the lion's share of supporters of candidates not Trump are looking for someone other than Trump to lead the party, for varying reasons. If Haley, Scott, Christie, etc., were to not be in the race, the vast majority of their supporters would fall to DeSantis, which would make this primary look far more competitive than it does now.

Trump had the largest vote tally increase in US history from 2016 to 2020. Dude had like 65-66 million votes in 2016 and cranked it up to 75 million….unprecedented increase.

Somehow a cognitively impaired geriatric allegedly received 81 million votes…..lol

Swing district polling. And have a look at 2022 performance of Trump-backed candidates In swing areas.

Trump is great at winning deep red areas. Swing districts... not so much.

So a question for you... what makes you think Trump is going to greatly improve on 2020 and 2022 performances in swing districts he must win to beat Biden? Where are all the new votes going to come from?

And you wonder why many think you're retarded. DeSantis and Biden are "equivalent" - JFC.

You are bizarre. I didn't make any assumptions about 75 million anything. All I've done, as a mere voter - a conservative voter, is make a judgment that DeSantis is the best option for conservatives.

You've not been right about anything, and if you ever tired of making up all the arguments you then argue against, you'd find no reason to post on this board.

First, I'm not making the case why he's still running. I'm explaining to a Trump sycophant that there are legit reasons for a candidate to continue a campaign in a race he's likely to lose beyond wanting to hurt the front-runner. It's weird your big brain can't wrap itself around such an obvious concept.

I am curious what agenda you would set for a new conservative administration if you could?

Gonna be tough, because of the 2022 disaster. Any president need legislative help to pass anything that the next president cannot undo in the first week (like Biden did). But Trump didn't get much if any help.

But... with some congressional support:
1) border (no brainer, but need congressional help)
2) cleanup the bureaucrat state with some non swamp cabinet appointment (Tump failed at this last time bigly)
3) go back to 2019 budget levels (need congressional help)

Dream (not likely to happen, unless a mandate-size victory, which it won't be with Trump):
4) entitlement reform (Trump opposes) because it's the only thing that can save us from collapse.

The GOPe is equivalent to Democrats. It’s an unfortunate reality. I realize it’s easier to pretend otherwise.

It’s the only macro analysis that makes sense. If you realized Desantis was actually at 65ish you’d realize he’s a landslide loser. You are counting in voters you don’t have and you’ve never had.

quote:

All I've done, as a mere voter - a conservative voter, is make a judgment that DeSantis is the best option for conservatives.

I’m not trying to change that opinion. I’ve never suggested who you should vote for.

He’s down to 10%. You realize what’s coming right?

First, I'm not making the case why he's still running

You have. And you alluded to it in this very thread. It’s a manufactured explanation for something that makes no sense.

quote:

there are legit reasons for a candidate to continue a campaign in a race he's likely to lose beyond wanting to hurt the front-runner.

We are in an existential fight with Democrats. And people like you think it’s reasonable to have this civil war right now…in an election that isn’t even remotely close and is trending away from your candidate.

Those are the facts.
