Ron is still a good one. Great Governor.
He’ll be better prepared next time.

DeSantis has made a number of errors. Deciding to run wasn’t one of them. Thinking Republican voters would be persuaded by reason was one of them.
Yup. Apparently a lot republicans are just fine with their candidate lifting democrat talking points. I guess we deserve four more years of Biden.

Why wouldnt it be good?

Because it might be retarded.

Question for you - did conservatism/the American Right have more power/influence in 2017 than it does today, or does it have less?

Trump masterfully teed RDS up as some sort of establishment hack. That was masterful not just because it was effective, but also because Trump is more of an establishment stooge than RDS has ever been, yet DT has 30% of his voters believing he's an anti-establishment warrior.

Propaganda works just as well on the MAGA crowd as it does not he woke crowd.

Thinking “well, the voters just don’t get it” is the winning pivot at this point, isn’t.

Enormous economic growth.

There was no "enormous" economic growth under Trump. Review his real GDP numbers.

It should be considered whether "MAGA'ed" is good for the American Right.

This is a disaster for the Right. Most probably Biden wins another term--bad for the Right. If Trump wins he will (again) appoint a bunch establishment folks, and whines about it or four years, while the conservative agenda dies by the wayside (like the first term)... while the Right thinks they've "won".

It’s not. The job of the campaign is to communicate to the masses effectively enough to change minds.

It would depend on how he ran his campaign.

You are witnessing how he would run his campaign. Which means he will lose bigly. You all cry about Trump but hes the only one with a shot

I’ll note that your response doesn’t put any fault for Trump’s hypothetical loss with Trump and instead focuses on DeSantis. Which is par for your posting style.

I dont expect him to win. But when you gain 10mil votes clearly something was going right. Now hes polling ahead of JB which you all said would never happen

Trumps fault if he loses he turns weak minded ppl off.
Not much else to be said

I did not say that would never happen.

I think it’s unlikely (but not impossible) that he wins the election.

If he does win, I think it’s unlikely that he governs effectively in the most important areas.

Let’s say Trump gets the nomination and loses pretty convincingly in 2024. What will your response be?
IT WAS RIGGGED!! While Trump did nothing to promote election security for 4 years. See PA for example, that just passed universal registration, without even a tweet from Trump trying rally opposition to it.

“At least we ran the guy that was good at trolling people.”

The sad part is, Trump can do that as well or better NOT being president. If he cared about the agenda, he would have taken on the role of being a pit bull. But Trump only cares about Trump.

The problem is not understanding the fact the the vast majority of the REPUBLICAN ELECTORATE basically wants the same thing. You’re not going to succeed trying to pit people against each other who aren’t in any way.

Buzbee isn't committing career suicide. No matter how good a job he does, in a few months Trump will be trashing him. Just like Trump trashes everyone that works for him, eventually.

The campaign is still nascent. I know it continues to shock the Poliboard, but even people who are interested in politics aren’t really following the campaign. My wife is a bit of a political junkie. She has paid maybe 2% attention to the primary and couldn’t tell you three Republicans running besides Trump and DeSantis.

Trump as set the conservative agenda back 40 years. He's a democrat's best ally.
