And I think the vast majority of Americans see Iran as a country/regime that has hated the US with every fiber of their being, and would do anything to hurt us. We've just been too big for them to attack directly, so they have pushed terrorism for decades, then hid behind the UN. They're as anti-America and anti-West as the USSR was, just not Communist and not militarily capable of pushing us.
I don't think many will shed a tear for the Ayatollah.
So all this hand-wringing by certain folks on this board is pretty funny.
