Why? Do you not think that plane wasn't stripped down and inspected? Every single screw, nut, and bolt?????

No, because if it had they’d still be stripping it down and putting it back together in the hanger. I’m sure they did a pretty good check and “swept” if for sabotage or listening devices with whatever high tech shite they do that with though.

The “donated” plane likely has the same communications equipment that the older one does. That’s a fairly easy modification. Requiring for flares and other defensive measures or re-plumbing the fuel system to allow for aerial refueling is a much longer task, which is why the “new” AF1s from Boeing are so delayed.

I’d agree. Easy to swap out antennas. But they cannot do it for the “real” electronic and kinetic countermeasure systems or probably 1,000 other things that exist outside the public realm.

Still not trusting it. This is what happened to the US Embassy in Moscow. "Every screw, bolt."etc.

His military advisors probably warned him about venerablilties of a retrofitted loaned AF1 but because potus is potus and has been complaining about age of AF1 fleet, he just wanted to fly on a newer aircraft just for appearances and no other reason. Let Boeing do their jobs with New AF1 fleet to ensure potus’ safety. Safety over vanity is an easy choice for some people but not all

So, why did he accept the "gift" in the first place? To not use it and spend tons of taxpayer money renovating it?

would not trust any plane "donated" by a foreign regime.

I’m sure we stripped it down and went over every inch first

Because it was a personal gift to him not US Govt, he gets to keep it when he leaves office as a donation, and got tax payer dollars to retrofit it to carry potus, no other potus will ever fly on that particular plane.

The new AF1 will go with Trump into his library after he leaves office

By “into his library” do you mean that Trump and his family will be flying around in it? Because Trump and his family will be flying around in it.

Are we going to get the story around the change? Is the plane bugged? Does Iran have an Air Tag on it?

I think Trump may planning to do the same thing that was done at the Reagan Library. The Reagan Library has an actual AF1 Reagan used while in office. I think Trump may be planning the same.

I’m sure he is…in about 10 years when they are finished using it.

The sheer amount of inconsequential bullshite “stories” you’ve posted here this week is astounding. What stage TDS are you on?

At this point we should just be glad that anything Boeing designs is not falling out of the sky on top of someone’s house. They haven’t had a very good run the past few years so if they need 10 years to get a new AF1 built then by all means they should just take those 10 years.

I’m aware of that but he seems to think that doesn’t apply to him as long as he is potus, and supposedly the DOD is owner of plane on paper and will donate it to his library when he is gone from office, that’s his plan, no other POTUS will use this particular plane as AF1
