You failed history. No Boomer ever fought Nazis, they mostly became communists in the 1960s.

Matt Walsh is an idiot. SS is guaranteed. It might not be for coming generations, but it is for those that have paid in.
* When it was passed in 1935, the govt provided a pamphlet that established its guarantee
* On the govt website it clearly states that SS is an entitlement. And as it appears youre having trouble with understanding the concept, I will define it for you
The Speaker of the House has also confirmed that right

None of this is true
In Fleming vs Nestor the Supreme Court ruled individuals don’t have a right to SS meaning congress could reduce or get rid of it

Sure, you have a right to collect it, but there's a lot of space between collecting something versus collecting nothing. They could very easily adjust the benefit amount equation by adding new bend points in income, adjusting bend point percentages or establishing a separate equation based on individual income. None of that is set in stone.
It wouldn't be hard to maintain people collecting at least something while making significant changes in how much people collect.

And a failure dipshit
SS is the cheapest, most reliable borrowing program at the Feds disposal. It has been brilliantly marketed as a retirement fund since its inception. Every 1¢ of contributions is immediately converted into a US Debt Instrument. The SS debt instrument (aka bonds) was initially used to fund 30% of FDR's second term "New Deal" programs, and a large amount of subsequent WWII debt. It has been identically used ever since. That was always its purpose.
The SSTF currently funds $2T in general government non-SS programs. As the SSTF declines, DC has to borrow money from other sources at a higher cost.
Because SS is the cheapest borrowing program out there, the lender is obviously getting hosed. The lender is the American taxpayer. Let's tease that out.
SS ROI is ~3% for the last 45yrs.
Meaning for every $1 put in as a 22y/o 45yrs ago, a current 67y/o receives ~$3.60 as a return on that $1.
If the same $1 was put into an S&P account with reinvested dividends, it would be worth more than $100 today.
So what you are crying about as a "Boomer gift" has actually cost those Boomers up to $96.40 for every $1 contributed.
Far from a benefit, it is a total grift.
The obvious solution would be to transition program investments to higher yielding vehicles. Even something as simple as modifying the SSTF bond mix could render SS "solvent" for the long term. The reason the Government does not want to do that is it would squeeze out outside purchases of longer term bonds. Our current debt/deficit won't allow it.
Though there are investment related remedies, unfortunately the DC solution is going to be the same as it was in 1983 -- significant payroll tax increases, and benefit reductions -- with the goal to increase the size of the SSTF (which is to the government's benefit). Benefit reductions such as COLA freezes for current recipients would be fine. But they are probably not legally feasible d/t program structure.

Of all the waste and grift in the Fed budget why start with screwing people that actually worked and payed into the system?
Balance the budget, eliminate SS fraud, Medicare Fraud, cut payments to the leech class, cut all money to NGO’s, etc. If you then don’t have enough let’s talk.
How about a Fed Income tax exemption for up to the amount I would’ve received in SS? I’ll sign up for that.
What these knuckleheads don’t realize is theyre falling for the same psyop used for the reputation argument. My life sucks, these people caused it, let’s screw them and take their money.

Nestor lost his rights to SS benefits because he was deported d/t anti-American activity.
Applying that finding to the general populous is as dubious a proposition as noting the ability to deprive felons of 2nd Amendment rights, and then generically applying the ability to general population.

Now you've gotten down to brass tacks. You just have to find or develop the next generation of politicians who will do just that. For me and my wife, it is just over four grand a month. That's just not a lot of money. And if it is, you aren't doing things right in the world.

How much money have you invested in the equity markets whether by 401K, IRA or brokerage account. Don't really tell me. But I hope it is as much as you can afford. SS will not get you rich. But the vehicles I've listed will.
